So how come I see WF Wizards and Favored Souls with so many buffs that I can't their names, yet I don't see a caster just come on in there and dispel their spells?

Unless I have taken leave of my senses and gone crazy to boot, I am pretty sure I have dispelled peoples buffs in tavern brawls.
EDIT: Oh, and then there are beholders...
The following applies to new players and vets equally:
If you have no clue what you are talking about, please refrain from acting like you know what you are talking about. By doing so, you spread misinformation to less experienced players. That is not a helpful thing.
In this particular case, as it is clear you do not know what you're talking about, more appropriate phrasing would be like so:
"I don't THINK that dispel magic can dispel buffs".
There's an added benefit for the individual here too... phrasing in such a way protects you from becoming the community laughingstock.
Aw I see, so dispel dispels buffs but ensures drama in the tavern? Seems good enough for me, 20 buffs down the drain for you MR.Robot Paladin/Sorcerer/Monk or Favored Soul/Monk... but really if its really because is cheap then theres nothing more cheap and weakbbq than a person hiding within an alphabet of buffs especially in the tavern one shooting lowbies and annoying melee(lol fite club, but honestly its especially cheap against melee's), take the buffs off and fight like a man, but hey its all good I say... as long as you don't get the PvP police.
And XieJon was kidding guys..
