    Default Bastion of Power

If you have solo'ed this quest without invis. on a melee focused character, do you have any tips?

I tried it last night on my WF LotB FvS (17). Basically, I got killed due to DA Red Alert on the second floor.
How do you manage this? DA is relentless in here.

I solo it on my ranger, only norm so far. Tips on how to handle red DA? Only tip I can give is kill stuff.

I'm sure you're already aware you kill/spawn one room at a time to limit DA to yellow/orange.

There's not many tips I can give, it's really no more than a beatdown. What you do on the first level you do on the others.

I focus on the clerics/casters first, then portals then mobs.

The end fights are, again, a beatdown. I focus on the devils clerics/casters, then the devil. If need be I'll go back out to the closed gate to heal up/buff up and then go in and focus on the marilith only. Kiting her around the room many-shorting and healing.
Dancing balls in this fight can be a real pain.

Really the quest is a beatdown fest. Nothing else really.

If you do the quest sneaking, tripping tiefling sentries/etc and killing them (my melee wizard uses irresistable dance - clerics have a few useful spells for it) you pretty much never have to worry about Dungeon Alert. Points in stealth skills are not required if you're patient. The portals which spawn devils all over the place will not open. That happens when your screen goes red etc.

Strong self-healing characters like yours can run through most of the area you were having problems with though even with DA on if you're careful

Oh, and for the end fight, get swooshed up. Your wings can kill the boss very easily up there & nab you an extra chest

Yeah, I noticed a Tiefling has to activate a gong type object. Is this the case? I have ran through most of this
invis. on my Sorc. Which was nice.

Yeah, I think it's the careful part I was struggling with ;-).
The harried effect is so strong on red that I simply could not do a thing. I got surrounded by Barbazu - which
I can normally deal with. However, there were also Tiefling Clerics. They instantly managed to mitigate any
damage I could inflict. Harried with red DA severely impairs melee dps I found.

Thanks for the tip. I still haven't got used to the wings, keep forgetting I have them. They were useful in the
end fight of a New Invasion as well.

You' all be relieved to know I did this ;-)

I took my time and made sure I extinguished the portals. It's a pretty long quest (though not as bad as
Genesis Point) when you're killing everything though (do I get an 'I reduced server lag' gold star devs?).
Didn't manage to get up to get the optional chest though I did pull Telvi's sash on my first completion - on
my FvS. This is the only thing my Sorc. wants from this quest - **** BtC!!!
