New to game, New to Monk

Hi,

Been playing for a couple of weeks now.

I have re-rolled my Monk.

I am not sure how to do my enhancements. Part of this I think is because I never Played paper d&d.

Also

How do i use my special attack? and which stances should I use.

I have read a few threads now, but they seem to use different terms.

I assume air is the lightning icon and water is the wave. These are the 2 I should concentrate on??

I normally hit the lighting stance, then use the hand icon perk. it seems after 3 uses I get eletric, and that logic would say that if i hit the special attack it should Hit. I can not tell if it is working or if I am doing it wrong.

I'm making up another guide to refine it better and adjust for update 3 but it should have a lot of the information there.

for finishers, you need to hit your target with the finisher generally. most likely the target dies so you never see it. if it lives, the air, air, air finisher is like a puff of wind around the target. not that exciting.

Dragonmark lesser healing.

I can not find that anywhere?

I assume it is a feat, but it is not listed in my feats.

Do i need to do something to obtain it?

The Dragonmarks are RACIAL. So, you MUST be a certain race in order to get these marks. Halfling is the main race. However, Humans get most of the marks as well. They are under feats.

Solved the Dragonmark.

You ahve to do a stormreach quest to have it enabled.

You can do it on any character on that server to unlock all characters on that server.

I'm confused regarding the dragonmark... how is it unlocked? Which races have dragonmarks that are helpful to monks?

You talk to lockania in the marketplace and do her quest (answering some questions). after that you have access to dragon marks and a feat exchange. Good DM's for monks are Halfling healing and elven displacement. also useful is human dimension door.
