    Default DoS 18P/2F ... Bard TR option

    New to paladins, so looking for advice specifically on enhancements ... or anything else that may stand out as BAD. In my experience, intimitanks are highly specialized (often absolutely necessary to complete a quest) while not always maxed for high damage output.

    I have SP/CHR skills +6 gloves already on the bard and I'm crafting two khopeshes (holy, acid, +4 insight and holy, shocking burst, something) and a set of HP goggles (with Wis +6) before the true rez so that he can use them at 12-ish.

    I'm hoping this paladin will be a reliable intimitank with a respectable AC and ability to hold aggro when needed.

    Intimidate should be above 50 pretty easily, UMD will be close to 30 (just OK ... but all I could put into it).

    I have no idea how to calculate AC ... but based on other posts (assuming they are correct), this should approach 70.

    Dex 5 ... no clue here really (think +5 mithral full plate or DT armor)
    Armor 15 + 1 = 16
    Tower Shield 9 + 1 = 10 ... this includes the alchemical bonus I think
    Pally Aura = 6

    Chaosguard = 2
    DoS Defensive Stance = 4
    Combat Expertise = 5

    TOTAL = 70

    Will this build do it?

    Without tumble, you're going to have a hard time moving around while in the DoS defensive stance.

    Greetings Im actually finally going to post a human dos tr up but Ill see if I cant help.

    Id take twf,dodge, and kopesh at lvl1, toughness at 3, whatever at 6, lesser rez at 7 to pick up itwf at lvl6 with a +2 dex tome, go ftr at lvl8 and take imp crit slash. either PA or CE at 9, GTWF 12, 15,PA, 18 extend if desired. I know Ill wind up with maximize and most likely quicken on my pally for self healing with the torc and conc opp as they proc off glancing hits. I would not take human adapt cha. I would instead take human adapt str. That takes you to a 16 base+5+6item+4tome+1 ftr gives you a 32str without rage. Id take human recovery to 2 and fit dm3 into the build.Id drop cha 1-2 as it eats aps. 15base +3tome+6 item takes you to a 24 cha more than enough for solid lay on hands and exalted smite hits. Ill look at it a bit more when I get off work.

    I have plenty of skill points to throw a few into tumble, had no idea the DoS stance had movement issues like that (kinda like the Docent of Defiance?).

    As for the stat point distribution. No +4's here yet, and i don't want to count on something I'll probably never get. I may get another +3 here before the TR ... so I'll keep the thoughts on CHR in mind.

    No comments on the AC or Intimidate, so i'm guessing they look good?

    How about the Max Dex bonus to AC, am i making best use of it in full plate? I only ask because this build (Human) is option 1A to going dwarf (option 1B) with their armor mastery boosting AC a little (and minus to CHR dropping intimidate).

    Rage - No oversized two weapon fighting? Is that not needed for some reason?

    Your to hit is going to be solid without otwf. All it does is negate the -2 to hit from not having light off hand weapon. I dont take it on most builds. If I do its low lvl and swapped later.

    The downside to human is you lose 2 ac from not having dwarven armor mastery2. So youll wind up with a standing ac in the mid 70s. Add in a chattering ring +3, and haste +1. That puts you up to an easy 74.If you umd shield wands 78. Raid buffed mid 80s. But Im not one of the ac calc masters on the forums unfortunatly. on ac.

    With intim a 45 will hit any trash in game. A 65 intim is a hard tod no fail. But you can hate tank quite easily with dos and the pally clicky. I think you are taking itwf and gtwf really late so Id move those down.
