nVidia 196.21

When I went from 191 to 195 I crashed a lot. Went back to 191 and everything was fine.

ANyone update to 196 yet on a 8800 series? Stable?

I'm at work atm so I can't give you the exact numbers, but i have tried more than 5 different drivers on my 9800 GTX+ card and I still get alot of crashing. I've tried versions from 186 thru the newest version available.

Sometimes it happens 5 minutes into the game, sometimes i can go hours before it happens. It looks like the character models explode on the screen and then the computer freezes up and I have to power cycle it to reboot.
I thought it may be heat related, but I ran a monitor program while playing and the logs show that the card never goes over 67C.
It's driving me nuts trying to figure this out.

And just to be clear every other game I play runs fine. which would include EQ2, WoW, Fallen Earth, even the Vangaurd trial (which sucked but had nothing to do with the graphics crashing :wink: )
