    Default Compatibility Question

Although I won't have as much free time to play, I've returned to Stormreach. I'm getting a new computer later this month, and need to know if DDO is compatible with Windows 7? (I would prefer the 64 bit version, but I need to know about 32 bit as well.) I'm on a home network using a fiber optic connection now also... any tips on settings to improve any lag issues on my end are also welcome. Thanks.

EDIT: I'm also looking at a Creative X-FI XtremeMusic PCI Express soundcard on my next machine. Any known issues with DDO?

Running Windows 7 Enterprise x64 (basically the same as Ultimate) without any problems. I also have a few family members and friends who run Windows 7 and DDO without any problems.

Also if you decide to purchase a PC with 4GB+ of RAM go with the 64 bit version of Windows to fully utilize all available RAM.

    Edit:
On the purchasing Creative for your sound, I would steer clear, many people have problems with creatives drivers. Most decent motherboards come with good sound these days, save yourself the money and add it towards your graphics card or cpu for more power.

The soundcard is for music/my guitar, and was what was recommended to me for that purpose. I just would like to know if I'm going to have any audio issues in the game with that card or not.

Thanks for the info on the 64 bit version with respect to DDO. That is probably what I will go with if it's DDO compatible then because I'd like more memory. (I have a couple tech friends who had stated that anything beyond about 3.5 is pointless for 32 bit, which you've reinforced for me. Thanks. : )
