    Default Mineral II Falchion - Which of these two would be better?

    Crafting a Min II falchion for my wf barb and I'm wondering with which of these 2 I will end up with more dmg

    Acid/Good Burst/Acid Blast
    or
    Holy/Acid Burst/Acid Blast

    holy does more damage to less mobs good does less damage to more mobs. since the majority of the mobs in the game are evil most people go with holy.
    * dizzy - fizzle - rofluppagus * - loot - cannith

    Actually, on a falchion, it seems like acid/good burst is better:
    - the extra 1d6 from holy compared to good gives +19d6 over 20 swings
    - but good burst yields an extra 3d6 on a roll of 15-18 (=> 12d6), and 6d6 on a 19-20 (I'm guessing here that it scales with the FB crit multiplier increase), for a total of 24d6, so +5d6 over the holy version

    If my numbers are wrong please tell me because it'd mean I need to update my planner

    So I have the Falchion, does doing Holy/acid/acid change anything at all visually compared to doing acid/pure good/acid? Or will it look exactly the same when equiped on the character regardless of Holy or PG?

    I believe the look will come from your tier 3 damage effect, so going to look like acid anyways. But I''m not 100% sure about it, you may want to do some search, as it's been discussed for sure in the past.

    You are missing the Tier 2 Acid Burst being better than the Tier 1 Acid effect. So 1d10 on each 15-18 and 3d10 on each 19-20 is 10d10 of acid bursting damage. However, just 10 Acid Resist pretty much negates this.

    Yep I ignored acid because it's easily negated, especially on a Pit Fiend.

    However, this reminds me that I should have mentioned that with 50% fortification, the 24d6 from the burst become 12d6 only, and holy wins...
