Halfpipe doesn't like me

First, not sure if this is the best place to post, but it is the best place I could think of.
I was on the halfpipe in house the Phiarlin (sp?) tavern and I got a coin! I did some more skating and for some reason I got the loading screen and was kicked to the entrance of the tavern. I checked my inventory and the coin was gone. The only guess I could come up with as to why this happened is that I was hitting jump too often while skating. I tried skating on it again and yep, after a minute, loading screen and back to the tavern entrance.
It sucks I bought these skates and apparently I can't use them. Anyone have this problem? If it is a GM (are they called GMs here?) kicking me around, could they not say something like "here's the problem" instead of repeated boots? I'm afraid to get on that thing again.

hmm.. Let's see.

First off, the coins end up in your collectable bag if you have one, and it's set to auto-fill. So you might want to check that bag out to see if you have some coins there.

Second.. As far as I know, they added some random teleport spots to the various ice areas, because otherwise people wandering around on the ice without skates were getting stuck on the ice, without being able to move. I kinda remember someone talking about it on the lammania forums a while back. You might just be hitting the lucky spot again and again.

Yup that was it. My "missing coin" was just cleverly hiding in my collectable bag.
As for the teleportation spots, that would be a relief and a pain to know that I'm being zotted around because I'm hitting these spots. I guess people that keep getting knockdown would like a way out, though.
