    Default u r lvl 11 n u got 625 ddo points, what would u buy?

    also u r;

    1. dwarf tempest ranger
    2. more interested in loot than exp.
    3. in orien server (kind of hard to find party here let alone p2p content)
    4. u already got chaosgarde, +5 mithral fp, duskheart. and since u r going to use power attack, u want +5 weapons, not +1 vorpal or whatever... tho i guess u can auction it and buy whatever u want probably.

    suggestions ?

first of all get some more points, easiest way would be to get to 100 fav on 2 or 3 other servers.

    then you have 3 options:
either grind to lvl 13 somehow and then buy the vale adventure pack. with the shroud there is an immense supply of loot you can "configure" to your liking. usually shroud items are considered to be the best items in the game. additionally most quests are great and often run

or you buy gianthold. there are tons of good and often run quests, but not much unique loot to find. tough you can craft the dragon scale armors and there might be something in the reaver raid for you.

or you buy the desert. there is some nice loot (bloodstone, ring of spell storing, firestorm greaves) but these are in the explorable area and not iniside quests. and there might be some interesting loot in the queen raid, don't know about rangers tough.
additionally the quests in the desert aren't run that often compared to gianthold and vale.

btw: power attack or not doesn't change that vorpal is better if the mob has enough hitpoints.

    This.
Shroud alone gives you twice or thrice better equipment than any other single AP.

Sinni already gave you great choices though if I had no adventure packs bought yet, my priority would be The Vale.

yeah, i'd also do the shroud option. tough i don't know how hard it is to get to lvl 13 without any adventure packs. i guess they new quests make that much easier. btw i recommend lvl 13 because the vale quests are lvl 16 so you can make 13-16 groups. additionally the vale should allow you to level quite a bit.

i added the other options mainy because lvl 11 just isn't fit for the vale, so you have ideas what you could do otherwise. and there i'd prefer the gianthold option. although there is less named loot than in the desert the quests in gianthold are more fun, which is the main reason why we play DDO, isn't it? on top of that there is much more xp to find in gianthold.

you might wanna roll up 3 more chars. as shroud is all about limited component grinding. the more chars the more components...

with just your ranger it will prolly take you 2-3 months of chain shroud completions to get a really usefull weaponary (aka mineral II or mintu)

Also be prepared to discard all the stuff you're using right now once you hit the higher levels.
There really isn't that much point at spending massive amounts of money on gear right now, unless you're getting disruptors, banishers or vorpals. Everything else will be outleveled sooner or later.
(also metalline of pure good might be a good choice ^^)

I will suggest saving up for Gianthold, because you'll never grind to level 20 without it, despite the fact that you like gear > XP. I wouldn't recommend Shroud at lvl 13 for a new player, but if you really don't care about grinding forever go ahead with Shroud since you'll get your gear easier that way.

I don't get it...do you have a specific place within the guidelines that you'd like us to brush up on?

Not that we all couldn't use another read of that snappy journal...just sayin.

I don't see any thing here that would be a problem.

Don't tell me that someone made snide references to the OPs lack of English skills??? Kids these days.
