Toughness x2 = 1 toughness?

Upon LRing, I accidentally took toughness twice. Thinking it wasn't a big deal I bought a flawless siberys dragonshard to try to respec it. To my horror, both toughnesses seem to occupy one slot on the list, and I cannot change only one of them out. Is there any workaround to the problem, or do I have to LR again?

PS After LRing, the flawless dragonshard was not available in the store - only the level 1 flawed one was. I had to go onto a different character to purchase it.

thats how respeccing toughness work:
you can only respec the one you took first first
sucks to be that way, but fred is a flayer, can you blame him?

Just to clarify: I can respec one, but I'll still have the other?

I want to get SF:UMD. From what it looks like, if I swap toughness for SF:UMD, then I loose toughness completely, and am stuck with only 8 feat slots. If I understand correctly, you're saying that I could swap one toughness out for SF:UMD (but not for WP: Khopesh, since I took the first toughness at bard 1) and still have that second toughness, and have 9 feat slots?

no, your fine. Fred only shows one toughness feat at a time. WHen you swap it out, you'll still have the other toughness. Kinda like Fred thinks Toughness has a Prereq of toughness so you can only swap out the latter one....

That makes sense, and puts what I was thinking into words: that toughness is considered a pre-req for itself! Thanks a lot, I guess I'm not so screwed after all.

Only thing I could add is, this is an old *feature*. It's been this way for a long time and isn't new to the Reincarnation options.

I guess it's a limitation of how it's coded. No real way to know whether they deliberately wanted it this way or if this is just how they did it and it's not deemed enough of a bug to warrant (however much time it might take) changes.
