the greatest ability?
the greatest ability?
is it even fixed yet so that it actually works?
0Love Life of an Ooze: One ooze. Idiot hits ooze. Two oozes.

it doesnt even go on my hotbar.........
nor does the regular cleave
Shadowsteel [TR train wreck]
Was somewhat useful for the ultra rare situations where your fighting 5+ fairly stationary mobs at once and otherwise aren't trying to stun/trip them..
So like 0.1% of the time..
And I say was, because now after update 3 they messed it up yet again by adding a horrible sound effect and stupid self damage to it, that it never needed. Rendering it yet again useless, and off the hotbar - as intended I guess.
They sure to do fix bugs that make abilities worse fast. Greatjob turbine on those ones.
I use it when I'm surrounded 10+ mobs occasionally, getting a crit in that situation is useful.
Another use is for killing bats, should do enough damage to 1 hit them which speeds up the vale rare/farming slayer if your not questing.
Otherwise the only time I use it is for some Wayward Lobster fun. Critting a supreme cleave on 3 or 4 people at once makes my day.
Nice to use when it doesnt take you outta invisibility
Teth - Ascendance
Old School n00b that used to be pretty good at the game.
So we all agree?
The Greatest Ability.
So on Patch 3 it does 10 damage now? Anyways I used it a few times when the enemies can be one shotted, its also good for killing bats I guess, overall I wish I didn't have to take cleave and they just changed Supreme cleave or buff it to actually make it useful.
yes it damages you now, and it makes a really annoying sound. It was near useless, now it's completely useless. It almost feels tragic to not have your prestige ability on your hotbar......
If we cry enough can we get them to change the Frenzy prereq out of Cleave and into Toughness or Stunning blow or something that players might actually enjoy?
I found it very useful, spamming it on trash mobs with a paralyzing weapon was endless fun. Now it really is useless :\
Supreme Cleave:
It's usefulness is just above Heal and Repair, but below Bluff.
/revive
Did update 9s change to Great Cleave also effect supreme cleave? If so what's the result? I cant play rite now so I'm wondering if anyone can test it out for me--
thanks

Step One: Enter a quest with a lot of breakables
Step Two: Put the cleave icon on your hotbar, use it
Step Three: ?????
Step Four: Profit!!!!
Anyone who uses cleave for any thing other than breakables..... is doing it wrong.
And no, as far as I saw in the release notes, there was nothing for barbs... at all. This update is all about the casters.
read them again
Great Cleave will no longer pause a player's attack cycle. Cleave will also now work with glancing blows from two-handed weapons, and exotic weapons like bastard swords and dwarven axes
Devs said it doesnt break the attack chain anymore, but i never transfered a cleaver to test it.

Testing shows still a bit buggy

Dex - Leader - THΣ ЏΠΣΔЯТΗΣÐ ΔЯСΔΠΔI don't do serious, it no fun
Exactly, and since Supreme Cleave is fundamentally the same thing as Great Cleave only with a self-damage penalty and reduced cooldown, I wonder if its the actual mechanic they changed and thus applying to S.cleave or just the very specific G.cleave that got edited.
If supreme cleave no longer stops your attack chain, and adds glancing blows, it might actually have uses when your surrounded by monsters (and have a dedicated healer)
((edit)) actually i suppose it's more similar to Whirlwind but still, im really curious about this new mechanic change
