All else being equal i generally find that the human inability to put both enhancments into the same stat is a weakness not a boon. You will basically just end up at an odd number on not one but two stats.

That aside the only benefit i see humans having over Warforged is the additional Feat, toughness would be nice to fit in but i definitely don't miss it. I would, however, miss 3 additional PA enhancements and the additional glancing procs (actually i dont know if ide noticed the lack of glancing procs ive never played without it)

But at the end of the day, if you ask me, the biggest benefit to Warfoged is the ability to be healed by Arcanes as well. I dont see the -healing from clerics and fvs as a bane at all. It isnt hard to make those numbers more reasonable but its 100% impossible for a Wizard to ever heal a human.

say it with me fellas- R.E.C.O.N.S.T.R.U.C.T

why not human? the real question is - "why human?" toughness alone cant carry a barbarian but reconstruct can.

    ***edit****

i wanted to add- if your priority in playing is to role-play a Human Barbarian or you simply like the visual appearance of a human than i think you should go for it. But if your priority is being as strong as you can be and as effective as you can be as a Barbarian in the gaming community: Warforged is clearly the superior options closely followed by Dwarf.

(i dont mean to tell anyone how or what to play, simply do the best i know how to suggest the strongest possible build, as such if you like humans that is the best choice for you no matter what we say)

Shade has brought a lot of good points to this.

For me simply, WF > human because of immunities to hold/level drain, making them one of the best and most consistent dps dealers without having to worry about a lot of things in the middle of a fast and dense fight.

In addition, with the new contents and focus on sustained dps, I am starting to see that how 3 clerics in a raid isn't as ideal as 2 clerics 2 casters with a WF tank/dps. This frees up the arcanes (who at most of the time does not give good damage/sp ratio on raid bosses with tons of HP) to repair the WF tank/dps while the clerics can save their sp on the other team. A good example of these raids include ToD/VoD, where a WF tank really shines with its flexibility.

I choose to be Warforged because of the Power Attack enhancements and the ability to just slap a Deathblock Docent on and be done with having to farm Tangleroot for Deathward Clickies.

Human I think is a solid choice too, but mainly for the Improved Recovery when spamming Frenzy/Death Frenzy, in my opinion.

    WF is definitely awesome.

My main argument was just that in reality in the game the tanks are healed 90% of the time by divine healing. So the huge boost in divine healing might be more valuable and substantially so over the WF who has reduced divine healing but also gets arcane healing.

I still believe the above paragraph in general but the **** curse no healing thing is actually huge. It is very nice that the WF can get the reconstructs even through the healing curses.

Still, it always seems like the arcanes always have better things to do then to hang around focusing all their energy on reconstructing the main tank. (VoD excluded).

Not sure which way I'll go I definitely see the WF advantages overall. I'm just thinking from my own guild raid expectations.

I dont find that to be true at all. Most of the groups i end up in- all of the Arcanes are warforged. as such they always have Reconstruct and as a result they are happy to, and in fact often eager to show it off. Personally ide say my game experience on my WF Barb would be closer to a 50-50 arcane/divine healing taken. However that may be skewed as i have not done any Epics yet.

One last advantage to WF is the mighty Warforged Barbarian+Wizard duo for the leveling process. Frankly that duo can accomplish what a group of equal skill would requre more members to do. if that Wizard is a 2rogue splash theres nothing you cant do!

Basically, i dont think theres any chance that a Human Barbarian+Cleric would be anywhere near as effective as the wf barb+wizard duo. (that is assuming they are all of equilivant game skill obviously)
