Loading & Connectivity Issues

So on 1/31 I tried to log on and the start menu came up and tried to connect to server and told me I couldn't. Internet was working ok. Tried again....same thing.

Noticed I had picked up some Malware. Spent a few hours getting rid of that. Tried to load again. Same result: could not connect to server.

Thought the game might be "down" for maintenance, but no notes or narrative at the bottom of load screen. Tried to click on "community tab" above and got a huge error message, which I have saved with a DXDIAG.

Uninstalled the game and reinstalled...three times. Same results...I'm not even connecting with servers.

I have three files I seem to be working with/from to install: ddohigh, ddostandard, and ddosetup. I've tried all three, which all seem to do the same. One, I can't remember which offered an option to repair the program. Tried that. Nothing.

When I reinstall, it gives me an option to create a new account. Haven't tried that because I've just gone to VIP. May give that a shot in the AM and try to log in with VIP info.

Have already sent word to turbine, but looking at a 3-5 day turn around. Any thoughts from anyone out there?

If you haven't already gathered, not so much of a techno-geek here. Be kind with the language.

Tried uninstalling the game once again and re-installing. Click on the DDO link and get the dndsetup.exe file. Click to install and get error message that I can't install a .dll file. Get a run time error. Very confused here.

I'm finding now that my Explorer is not working either. I followed some tips left by Mirthgar:

Not sure what I'm missing anymore. Have what I believe to be--everything loaded--still not even able to contact servers.
