I think its more to do with his reply and response afterwards then the actually casting of GT.

And you can do it after Harry is dead, completion isn't until someone hits the alter.
I was thinking the same thing as I was reading this thread. Whay on earth was this person bailing before Harry died? The quest isn't over just because you kill him. Look at the **** objectives.

Most people who bail as harry is dying have looked at the objectives. Its the people who don't know, or don't care, to wait to ckick the altar until everyone has left that drive that.

Not saying I condone it, I can just see both sides. Especially considering the quality of a small number or people running the shroud these days. Besides, you can cast GT when harry is close to dead and click on it immediately after he dies. In that respect, GT is better than recalling, /death, or regular TP. There is no wait. I don't do it, but I can see why people would. I have been in shrouds where some darwinian reject clicks on the altar as the party leader is asking if anyone wants to leave. It only takes one idiot to click an altar. Not so much a problem with guild runs, but if even one pug is in the group

You are telling us you've never accidentally clicked the wrong button in this game? I find that exceptionally hard to believe. Also, think this is an example of something pretty common these days, punking. It appears to be gaining popularity to try and screw with raid groups, especially the shroud. I've never been one to practice such pranks... To each his or her own. I have no doubt that bard did that cast that GT to punk his raid group.

No, it's actually devoid of any qualifications or disguise or adornment.

Except for the large box that appears saying "(insert name here) blah, blah, blah, greater teleport you to (insert place here)"?

Wanna know what's worse than punking a raid?

    FROOBING a raid!

"Hey, I hear I'm supposed to go to the middle."
    "Don't DO IT!"
    *Shatter the Crystal*
    "Sigh, nevermind..."

Clicking the teleport button is akin to /death count ?

No doubt. But I still don't feel bad for anyone who accidentally clicks it. I might even giggle a little.

I click the wrong things all the time in the game. I swear, like 50% of the Tower runs I'm in, I skip the shrine and chest and go right into part 3

    But I laugh every time.

Now, I tend to agree with you concerning punking in places like the Shroud, though I can't say I haven't practiced it... usually inadvertently. For example: casting grease a wee bit too soon running up the stairs to ToD part 2 (guilty); talking about /death count with someone else while in the Shroud (guilty), etc.

My bad, I appologise if my post implied any suggestion that you would consider doing such things. I should have separated my comments better, I didn't mean to connect my comment about accidentally clicking a button, your occasional humorous /pranks, and what I consider punking. You are an asset to any group you are in, not an a$$h*le.
