Default Is there a way to resurrect a dead hireling?

I bring the hireling's soulstone to res shrine, his ghost follows me, but does not approach. I gear-click the shrine... ghost just stands there.

The only way I found so far to get a dead hireling back is to recall out of the dungeon, re-enter, and summon him again. Which is a substandard solution in most cases, unacceptable in some.

So should I accept that sometimes my hireling is dead and I should just go on alone?

Target the rez shrine and have him activate it the same way you would get him to rest or pull a lever.

EDIT: The "activate(?)" button on the hireling hotbar. It could take a few tries.

A hireling can be resurrected at the shrine. There is a button on the hireling command bar that you get when you summon them that looks like a disable device button that causes them to activate whatever you have targeted. It doesn't always work on the first time, sometimes you might even have to hit it repeatably but they will use the shrine to rez.

Yes highlight the shrine, needs to be in your little viewer. Then click the gears repeatedly on the Hireling bar until they sleep. They have a tendency to move a few feet then stop if you just click once. I just click until they inch all the way up and use it. It is one of those things that seem much more complicated then needed, but once you get it down it works ok.

By the way, casting a raise dead spell on the hireling causes them to automatically accept the rez and go di.. err continue fighting on bravely.
Devs: Thanks for making Druids available to VIPs without the pack. This more than anything, has made me want to buy the pack.

Most of the time mashing the gear button while having the resurrection shrine targeted works. If the hireling still won't use the shrine, what I do is this:

    1. Move away from the shrine, for like 10 seconds, carrying the hireling's stone, then stop.
    2. Order the hireling's ghost to follow you. Once his ghost is beside you, order him to stand ground.
    3. Run back to the shrine fast (still carrying the stone) and hug the resurrection shrine. The hireling's ghost will eventually teleport to where you are standing because he'd by "too far away" from his soul stone.
    4. And then order him to use the shrine.

This method is good when hierling cannot reach res shrine (like Ataraxia Heaven -> Ataraxia Jewel quest -> Shine betwen bars (probably only one in this quest))

Also setting them to passive and calling them to you can get them those last few feet to the shrine.

D'oh! NECROTHREAD! But still, I think this bug still exists.
