    Default Drow FvS multiclass question

I am currently playing a Drow FvS, lev 5. I am getting ready to level up, and am thinking of a multiclass. I tend to do more of a fighting role, with some healing and offensive spells when I need them. I was thinking of adding a splash of Paladin just for a couple of feats, but only 1 or 2 levels. This would give me more weapon profs and heavy armor so I can use that in certain areas if I need to, since the med armor is less than exciting. I just don't want to nerf my toon for higher levels. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I do have monk I could splash, but, wearing armor makes all of their enhancements fairly useless to how I play. If it is of any help, my highest stats are Str and Cha

As a general rule, I highly advise against multiclassing unless you planned it from the beginning.

Also, Paladin doesn't give you any bonus feats, just CHA bonus to saves. As a FvS though, you already have the highest save progressions in all saves, plus the spell Night Shield, so saves are a non-issue to you, really.

As for Monk, I'd advise against that as well, simply because it wasn't planned out from the beginning.

Also remember that every non-FvS level you take is a level 9 spell you won't get...which ones are you ok with dropping? Are you ok with losing your capstone?

Without more information, I really have to say stay pure.

(As for medium armor, look for Mithral Fullplate. It's the medium armor AC peeps who can wear heavy armor look for. )

Thanks for the response. Maybe I will stay pure on this toon. I just don't use spells a lot, but they may come in handy later, there are some nice ones. I was just trying to think of something that would give me a bit more melee damage, since I tend to run in and beat on things a bit. So far at the lower levels it's working fine, I just don't want to be a wimp at higher levels. I don't do a lot of grouping either, just with guildies or solo when I can.

Well how hard you're hitting has a lot to do with your STR, which multiclassing won't change. At level 8 though you can get a spell called Divine Power. It increases your STR by 6 (enhancement bonus, so as far as I know it doesn't stack with STR items, but I've never used it before, so I don't really know for sure) and increases your BAB to your level. Also the level 1 spell Divine Favor will give you the equivalent of +6 STR (luck bonus), and it's what I use on my Paladin constantly.

    Hope that helps.

That helps, thanks so much. I just recently got the fvs, and this is only the second toon I've played above lev 4, my other being my paly which I totally nerfed and couldn't figure out how to fix so just deleted her. I just have to stick it out a bit. I actually don't hit that bad, I'm just used to the damage I was doing with my greatsword. Again, thank you so much
