    Default Green Steel items

Greetings! Still fairly new to the game, so go easy on me.

From what I've read, Green Steel items are crafted..I've seen them in the AH ranging from 3.5mil (+5 GS Falchion *drool*) to 14.5mil (+5 GS Scepter). What is the "average" price for items like this? Several million I'm assuming, but since I've only seen a few of them with such varying prices, I figured I'd ask.

And, if anyone has a spare +5 GS Falchion laying around collecting dust..feel free to uh.."lose" it in the mailbox, wrapped up and addressed to me.

Those prices are all a bit of a rip off. It means they made them wrong, or they think they found a sucker. those are just the blanks you craft with. You will find the ingredients to make them when you are flagging for the raid where you can add things to those blanks to make them powerful.

If you just run the 5 flagging quests in Vale, you can craft your own Falchion for a lot less Plat.

The five quests are : Ritual Sacrifice, Running with Devils, Let Sleeping Dust Lie, The Coalescense Chamber, and Rainbow in the Dark.

Below is the recipe for a Green Steel Falchion

    Gather These Raw Materials:
2 - Bitterscrub Fungus From: Ritual Sacrafice, Running With The Devils
2 - Chipmunk Funk From: Coalescent Chamber, Let Sleeping Dust Lie
2 - Locus Husk From: Let Sleeping Dust Lie, Vale Rare Chests
2 - Glistening Pebble From: Rainbow In The Dark, Running With The Devils
1 - Lammanian Lily Petals From: Ritual Sacrafice, Vale Rare Chests
3 - Green Briar Twigs From: Coalescent Chamber, Rainbow In The Dark
3 - Eberron Energy Cells From: Vendor By Alter
1 - Large Splintered Horn From: Shroud Parts IV & V Chests
5 - Shavarath Stones: Might (Ritual Sacrifice), Battle (Running with Devils), Strategy (Let Sleeping Dust Lie), Victory (The Coalescense Chamber), Foresight (Rainbow in the Dark)

    Create - Ore of Travail
Combine: Chipmunk Funk, Locus Husk, Glistening Pebbles, Green Briar Twig, Eberron Energy Cell

    Create - Yellow Taper
Combine: Bitterscrub Fungus, Locus Husk, Glistening Pebbles, Green Briar Twig, Eberron Energy Cell

    Create - Wonderous Scarab
Combine: Bitterscrub Fungus, Chipmunk Funk, Lammanian Lily Petals, Green Briar Twig, Eberron Energy Cell

    Create - Shavarath Signet Stone
Combine: Stone of: Might, Battle, Strategy, Foresight, Victory

    Create Final Item - +5 Greensteel Falchion (2d6, 18-20/x2)
Combine: Shavarath Signet Stone, Large Splintered Horn, Ore of Travail, Yellow Taper, Wonderous Scarab

Ah, okay, well..compared to what I was using at the time (Xuum, my Fighter is only L12 now), it looked pretty good in comparison. Now, though, I'm using Windlasher, and it still looks okay in comparison to it.

    Ah, okay. Thanks, MrPlucky!

After that point, though, what can you turn the blank into? I mean, obviously it's still going to be a Falchion, but I guess this would be where I need to look up the rituals somewhere, eh?

I like http://www.iro.umontreal.ca/~delalle...roud/index.php for Shroud loot planning.
Pick your item, hit go, and drool over the lists of things you can add.

Hmm. The Sceptre does seem a bit overpriced. But I don't think 3.5 mil gp is a gouge for the Falchion considering it takes 3 Green Briar Twigs to make. Those being a lil more rare and found in only two quests (one of which is annoying as all hell). I've bought GB twigs a piece for around 100k plat just so I would not have to run those quests over and over again. Point being I don't think anyone was trying to rip off someone or get the best of a "sucker." To make a greensteel blank requires a grind, to some extent. If you are willing to pay the price to forgo the grind then it is a fair price. No one is ripping anyone off, GS Blanks have been something on the AH since the Shroud went live. Just know what you are buying, and after you run Coal Chamber once you would prolly gladly pay then then run that quest over and over again for a *chance* at getting a twig. Just my two cents take them as you wish.
    Git off mah lawn!

If, If's and But's was Candies and Nuts, we'd all have a Merry Christmas.
