Default do you get help from your own aura?

If I throw some Action Points at my Aura for extra saves and AC, do I get the benefit as well? After all, I am within my own aura.

I threw a couple of AP at the Courage of Good so that I could qualify for Knight of the Chalice, but now I wonder if I might want to do a bit more in the others.

    yes

courage of good has no real benefit so they choose it to become prereq for kotc prestige enhancement.

everyone loves you for the bulwark of good enhancement. always keep it maxxed . resistance of good is situational as your own saves will be really good anyway. if you have the spare points than it does not hurt (but theres lots of cool stuff in the paladin enhancement tree that you benefit more from).

Let's not be selfish ...... "Aura of good" affects whoever is within its range....

Actually, only AC builds or people that care about AC will love you for your "Bulwark of good" enhancements. Nevertheless, AC is not a concern for for a big share of characters: even with the bonus provided by your aura, their AC will be too low to matter .... OTOH, I do like much more "Resistance of good"; imo, it's much more useful and can help everyone: for instance, in your opinion, what will be more useful for no-AC DPS builds hitting Horoth? or Harretrikos? or the end-boss in Enter the Kobold? With the boost to their saves provided by your aura, they could save and take half damage from many spells or avoid banishment if they are fighting Huroth without "boots of anchoring" ......

In conclusion, spend some APs in both ..... don't neglect any.

actually, I would advise people with builds not focused on AC to not spend any APs in bulwark of good. if the AP investment doesn't put you over the top of a critical number it is not worth it. say, if you are a two-handed build with an AC of 25 standing at cap, it won't make any difference whatsoever if you get full bulwark enhancements. should the main tank in the party require the presence of a pallie to be able to tank... well, he must reevaluate his build ^^ now, if you are standing at 56 without bulwark... different story

I also, would much rather invest those APs in the saves aura or make sure you get the DPS enhancements maxed.
