If it's not in your Games folder, then look in C:\Program Files\Turbine\DDO Unlimited\

You should see a program in there called TurbineLauncher.exe

Make a shortcut to that on your desktop, and you're done.

    Minor Correction:

On Vista/Win7 you should make the shortcut to "TurbineInvoker.exe" on XP its "TurbineLauncher.exe". (Also both may show up without the .exe but they'll be listed as "Applications" and should both have the red "shield" icon).

I'm on Win7, and TurbineLauncher.exe launches the game just fine. Is the TurbineInvoker supposed to get around UAC or something? I have mine turned off, which may be why the TurbineLauncher works fine.

    Yes and Yes.

To clarify that Invoker is used to "call" Launcher in cases where UAC is present (ie. Vista/Win7) and handle any UAC related procedures.

So with UAC off you can effectively run via launcher but watch out for on patch days some issues with file updates since Vista and 7 integrate more with the antivirus programs and they both have more involved file and folder user permissions.

You may find on an update day that you need to put the UAC slider back up to "Prompt only when I make changes" and launch from Invoker to get the files to update. Try to avoid using "Compatibility" mode and the permanent "Run as Admin" on the game executable files (or the shortcut you're using) since it was coded already with Vista/UAC in mind and these settings can affect the game in odd ways relating to permissions (and the ability to use DirectX10 Graphics in-game)

Also when you run it this way your effectively bypassing the games Vista compatibility that was coded into it, so you may see strange occurances of errors here and there. It was designed to be launchable from a "standard" user (ie. non-admin) with UAC enabled (via TurbineInvoker.exe) so your sort of taking that out of the games control with your config. (Not to say that it won't work just that you should be aware that it may not work as intended that way)
