    Default Monk build?

Ok im thinking of rolling a monk. I have a frw questions, the monks ive partied with have been able to just walk through traps and rarely get hit. Does this stay consistant to end game? I was wondering if someone could
point me in the direction of a good build. I have a ccess to wf and 32pt. I normally group with people, so ild like the
focus to be mostly dps, but that doesnt mean i want to sacrifice the survivability, basically i want a well rounded build leaning more twords dps. Can anyone help, if you need more info from me just ask thanks.

You know, I am interested in this as well. I have been looking through the forums and see a bunch of different builds with differing opinions on them. I am not as familiar with the class to know what is needed and what is not needed. I too want to build a monk, but there is so much to know and so many differing opinions. And I didn't find the compendium very helpful. So any help that can be given here would be appreciated by two people. I usually play healers so this is definitely new territory for me.

These are the four builds I generally recommend:

    CON 16 <--racial points here
    INT 8
    WIS 14 <--class points here
    CHA 6

Feats: Toughness, Stunning Blow, Power Attack, xTWF, xTHF, Improved Critical: Bludgeoning

Good AC, high DPS, decent DCs on moves, tactics, dwarven bonuses

    Halfling

    STR 12

    CON 16 <--racial points here
    INT 8
    WIS 16 <--class points here
    CHA 8

Feats: Toughness, Weapon Finesse, Stunning Fist, Power Attack, xTWF, Improved Critical: Bludgeoning

Very high AC, good DCs on moves, good DPS against most living enemies.
Feats are not listed in the order taken, but it should be fairly straightforward. Power attack and toughness can wait if you have a choice.

Monks get improved evasion and have pretty good saves. So, they do very well against traps throughout the game. I wouldn't say they can always walk through traps, but traps are less of a problem for a monk than for most classes throughout the game.
