Well, I figured it was worth a shotum, do the quest a few time with a useful group and learn the quest layout, where the traps are, tight spots, ...
you can't just go out and solo high lvl stuff you don't know in and out.
Thelanis: Ikeren, Paladin 7. Dylas --- Cleric 21.
Did you solo it on elite? They hit for about 280ish on elite. I just soloed it on elite last night, and the traps were rough.
On normal, they hit me for like 30 and are irrelevant.
Now, as far as the lagging out, that I can understand. Try to kill them as each group spawns. My machine can't handle zerging it like others do.
There's a good video of a couple clerics going through this quest:

That will be of great assistance. I'll watch them and take another shot or two.

So wait a minnit you can get Large Ingrediants in Amrath? From quests. I must admit my lvl 20 pally has only been there once.. got creamed with a group in our first quest. never really went back much. Is there a good guide for Amrath stuff somewheres?
Starabelle McClean / Shamurai Daemon Slayer/Faithrune Justicar /
Samuiree Kensai / Daviniti Soul Finder/ GRRONND HammerPain
I find the video run-throughs to generally be a bit more helpful than guides (excepting specific puzzle solutions, etc). To that end, check out Spyderwolf6's youtube channel. He's got a LOT of quests posted.
Update:
I sold a full set of +2 tomes on the AH
I sold a few Large Horns (I was surprised to see how much they bring)
I ran Shroud about 7-8 times (didn't get a single scale)
All that, plus the 2 million gold I had on me, was enough to buy 3 large scales....
Then I traded two large stones for a large scale...
So now I only need 3 more large scales... or about 15 million gold....
Seems a lot more reachable than the original 35 million for 7 scales... Slow but steady I guess... Getting tired of the Shroud (plus all my guys are on timer now), so maybe I'll try soloing Sins with a cleric too...
I try to just keep all my characters that are able to do shroud on the shroud timer. Its slow going, but its probably less headache-inducing than grinding loot runs out. If you want to do it optimally, and turn it into even more of a grind you could do 3 1-4 runs then complete, then another 3 and complete once your off timer over and over again to maximize your chances at large ingredients.
