Last night in a Shroud run we had some moron who decided the run wasn't fast enough for him. So at the end of part 4 he gets his loot and instantly hits the alter and sends us to part 5 before everyone got their loot. Some of those who weren't going to finish missed their loot entirely thus missing there only chance at a Lg. scale because they were casters and dropped group once they mana dumped because we new there was a chance he'd be hitting the alter in part 5 before they could fo or ddoor. Then in part 5 he did exactly that before melees could FO.

For those of you that had to hear me go off on this person I apologize to you. My words were not pleasant nor was my tone. I don't apologize for the words or tone I used. I would do and say the exact same thing all over again. I apologize for you having to hear what I said. You should not have to listen to things like that during your DDO time.

So again sorry to put you thru that.

I can't blame you for going off on him, as I would have been ****ed too - and I always complete. It is just common courtesy to not only give casters a chance to top off mana, but allow those that wish to an opportunity to leave after part 5 and before completion...

Can you please PM me the name, as I would like to avoid this ass hat on our Shroud runs!

It wasn't my group or I may have said worse. I was just along for the ride and I was completing so it had no effect on me. But others missed their loot in pt 4 or were forced to complete to go back and get their loot.

So yes you're right it was probably an epic fail but that's essentially what i told him thus my apologies

My PM is blowing up wanting this guys name. There is a nice peacefull balance in the guilds right now and this guy threw his guild name and how they wouldn't care if he did what he did. I don't want to be he one to ignite any guild fights and I'm enjoying the peace ATM. So I'm going to hold back for now.

I promised his guild leaders I would hold off on this until they took action. I'm assuming since he's on probation he won't make it in. If he's been booted I will divulge his name as it would show that this is an idividual problem & not a guild portrayal. If they think he doesn't need to be booted but can keep him in check them I'm compelled to not divulge his name until he proves they can't keep him in check. If I say who he is and they keep him it's just going to start a bunch of sh!t even if they do keep him in check.

I will try to reply to the PM asking who he is but if I don't get back to you I'm sorry I'm a little short on time today.

Behaviour of the guy that hit altar in pt. 4 while rest of the party wasn't ready is surely questionable.
However, if I'm not mistaken, completion is triggered hitting the last altar, but portals to previous bits open after Harretrikos goes down: i.e. people have chance to go back to pt. 4, loot and recall before quest is completed (useful when someone that doesn't want completion dies in pt 4 and for some reasons you don't manage to raise him).

You're correct but said moron also hit the alter as soon as Harry was dropped not permitting them to do so. He did this on purpose. Even in part 5 cat was going to be last killed. We pin him in and said moron runs up to cat and starts killing him. We tell him to stop over & over & he refuses to do so dropping the cat before anyone can get mana. So we end part four w/o all casters/clerics shrined and we start part 5 w/ those same caster/clerics not getting mana from the pool either because he intentionally kills the cat. Then he hits the alter the instant Harry goes down. So no way that they can get loot & leave.

Could be worse... Last week I was in a run where someone clicked on the altar of part 5 the moment Harry went down!

In this same run someone (no doubt the same person) pulled the lieutenants in part 2 before the party had even zoned in. This prompted our rogue to drop group, which left us with only 11 people and no one to pick the locks in part 3. With no one in the 4x4, we had to break crystals and thus miss out on the bonus chest.

So ..... basically I think this is becoming a common issue .... I guess make sure all the toons in your party know NOT to hit the Alter !

There is a surge of "new" toons in the Shroud without a doubt !

The lack of consideration and the general lack of empathy that this 'tool' displayed, and in fact if things on this forum are to be believed, that a certain subsection of the server are to be believed, then there is gonna be a lot of /squelching going on.
