Maybe your software firewall has been reset? I have to "re-allow" DDO after every time it updates and sometimes after windows does. This is doubly tru when the update patches an internet application (the latest patch fixed the hole the Chinese used against Google and other companies).

Will have to try that.
It said program was already in exceptions list.
Splash screen stays up, but it opens the window for updating. The window stays minimized though, no matter what I do and when I look at it with application preview thingie, it isn't doing anything.

Sorry, I don't have any other ideas but you might want to check the "Service and Support" category (look in the list on the "Community Forums" page) and then in the "Technical Assistance" forum. This is where Turbine's official Techs call home, and they can help with a large number of issues, if someone hasn't altready had this issue solved.
Good luck![]()

Try the steps here (different issue but these steps often remedy what you're describing as well) but if it keeps up definitely open a support request.
