Message to VoD pug leaders

If you are going to post for a VoD on hard, let me make some friendly suggestions:

1. When you ask for someone to tank after we get into VoD, this scares me.
Please have a capable tank ready before we go into the sub especially on hard or elite.

2. Please don't forget to get a rogue (even a splash will do) to disarm the traps.

3. Please make sure group is prepped for the finale against the waves of bats. e.g. crowd control, any rebuffs.

You don't really need to disable the traps,unleass you want to get more xp.

No you don't need to. You can stay in the corner and wait for the traps to go away. It just makes it easier because some people don't get to the corner fast enough.

If we go down that road you dont need to kill any devils after he comes down as well , haven't done it this way since DA was introduced which would make a hell alot of more fun

I am guilty of all three of those - quite frankly - this raid is so old it shouldn't really be such a big deal anymore. Yes, there are piles of new folks that are clueless, but the chafe needs to be weeded out some time or another, right?

I think a lot of us are so used to running these raids, we don't always completely explain whats going to the new players who are running it.

I have once PUGged Elite VOD and had both tanks die in the spike pit in the middle (back when traps were bugged and one-shot you for 1800). Had to take over tanking on my cleric while we raised and rebuffed them - that was exciting.


As for tanks, however - I'm happy with anyone with 600 HP and 20% (or better) Healing Amp on Hard. They can be kept up with one cleric's Heal scroll cooldowns.

We were pugging this raid on elite @ 16... it astounds me that at 20 this is suddenly so much more difficult

Somewhere along the line Suulomades became much, much, MUCH more capable of hitting characters with high to extreme AC (on Hard and Elite only).

He now hits a 90 AC on Elite more easily than he hit a 78 AC on Elite in the early days of the raid.
