Hey there, this is Kathryyn. First, I'd like to say (in the best way possible) that y'all (you know who you are) are jackasses and that was an amazing prank. Can't believe I fell for it, but the presentation was AMAZING. You guys had me fooled when I "wiped the raid." It was a lot of fun, and of course the first time in I get stuck with a 5x5 in part 3. =P

I promise, I'll try to be less panicky and more quiet from here on out. Still, glad to finally be raiding with all of you!

I remember my first shroud run with the guild that eventually became my permanent one lol. My wizard was nervous as it was drinking cause it was my birthday. They told me you have to click the altar but do it right or it will cause us all to die. I nervously walked around it clicked it we all died and I panicked then when I found out we were supposed to I cussed them out and laughed. LOL that followed a night of me cussing at them I think It was a match made in hades

Hehe I got that also. Hey xenonn whats your Int? 34 - great need someone with Int above 30 to be able to activate....and you need to click the portal directly in the center or there will be a problem.

The joke backfired when I didnt care that I wiped the party.

I LOVE having new people in Shroud, we did this to some dude once and he almost had to change his pants

I still saw someone yesterday in a prison of the planes group that tried to pick up that ancient docent especially after the DM mentioned that "powerful artifact should be left for Nimbus to unlock"; and then "Ding!", one dead curious rogue.

Just finished my first shroud too. Luckily i was with one other newb and they choose her/him for the prank. The party said it was time for her to be properly shrouded so she has to click the portal...and we all died..and i was feeling sorry for her .. (i was running with here off and on since we were lowbies)

I only realized it was a prank after the raid. . I was scared the whole time of making a newb mistake.. but it was fun!

All in all..nice group guys.. u know who you are!

Heh, I actually spent 2-3 min doing 'test jumps' to get the timing right so I would click the portal dead-center

Grats on completion.. yah they got me on that too.. They said. "Thank God we have a Pally for this last part... I was told that its the one portal where SMITE EVIL actually works and if you use it exactly when "the lil swirly thing" gets to 12 O'Clock we get a free chest with an additional gauranteed large or possible +3 Tome... but it has be "Exactly whe it gets to 12 O'clock high with Smite evil active.." So yeah I practiced with 3 smite evil activations and test clicks then 3 more non activated click tests.. they were getting antsy to get to part 5 so I clicked smite evil hit it at 12 O'clock high and BAM killed everyone... I was just so happy to be accepted to my first Shroud Run being an unguilded gimped noob... that I nearly cried while they all gratuitiously cussed me out.. LOL even the REAL GIRL Bard swore at me... I was thinkging "OMG I'll be blacklisted for sure!".. HAHA.. Won't ever ever forget that moment.

Yup!

It's an old tradition:

... pull the TS switch to get a free +5 weapon, but this only works the first time you run it...

... FF on the dragon to get the secret chest under the platform...

... My fav is kiting the blades in part3, and everyone shouting encouragement about what a great job he's/she's doing as they frantically try to stay ahead of them...

... I USED to love the part4 portal gag, until I saw someone fall for it and nearly in tears sob 'I'm soooo sorry!' before dropping group - I couldn't complete after wards, I couldn't stop laughing - Oh and I also felt bad about it.

Another good shroud prank for newbies is part 3 to get them to kite the blades I actually have gotten three paladins by telling them they need to do it since they can cast lay hands on themselve one was even swinging to aggro.
