This can come up there is a non standard Windows "Tahoma" font installed or the "Tahoma" font is not installed at all or got corrupted.
Open up the Fonts folder (C:\Windows\Fonts)
Look in there for all fonts named "Tahoma" and you should only have "Tahoma" and "Tahoma Bold" listed, remove any extraneous Tahoma entries, or reinstall the font if missing or if it has become corrupted.
Also it comes up we've found if the "English US" language pack isn't installed as well.

I'm receiving another launcher error after game crashes:
It's happened about half a dozen times now. My character suddenly can't move, but every other command and fucntion in game seems to work, I can even still see new messages in chat channels and respond to them, after being stuck in place for a couple minutes I get disconnected, and the error screen I posted above pops up. If I'm in a dungeon when these dc's happen I get sent back to the nearest town, and all my progress is lost.
I'm really enjoying this game but this last crash happened half an hour into the misery point dungeon, unless I can get a fix it's not worth the headache of trying to progress further.
Sent in a tech support ticket, will it really take them 2 weeks to respond? =/

I've already gone through those, only 3 that could have applied were the network card issue, the firewall, or the router.
I've played with and without a router and still been getting dc's, I made sure all the proper .exe's were added as exceptions to the firewall, and I dont have any of the network cards the faq's listed as troublesome with your software.
I also let the game determine my graphics settings, as a couple people suggested customizing them could be the cause of dc's.
Bump for a solution ^^
I'm a paying subscriber to 4 mmo's, and don't have any issues remotely like this in any of them.
If I can find a fix to these dc's ddo will very quickly be the fifth!
The weirdest part, after grouping with people today and dc'ing while with them, I could still chat with them over my mic and in text after the game started acting like I lost the connection to the server. ><
