Goes to Download Manager instead of launching game

My power went out earlier, and after I came back to play again, when I click the DDO icon on my desktop to launch the game, it goes to the downlaod manager instead of the launcher/login screen. I have the game installed now for a couple weeks, and have been playing it fine, but now it won't get past the downloader. I thought maybe there was a new file or something, so I clicked on download, but it says that destination folder is already in existence, or something similar. I submitted an e-mail help request, but it says days to weeks for a reply =/ .

Well, it was faster to reinstall the game than get a response. Also, I reinstalled from the old store-bought game dvd this time, so no more pesky download manager to deal with.

my cousin is having the exat same problem since update 3. anyone know how to fix it? and he says that he wont download it again beacuse he dont feel he has time for that..
