Default Fernia Games over Burning Man?

Since we have the Risia Games for the winter time does that mean we can look forward to Fernia Games during the week Burning Man would take place?

Really don't think Burning Man rates anywhere near as socially significant as the Winter Olympics......

This^, in so many words, is how you say time and feedback on Lamannia are wasted.

There's actually a burningman-like holiday in Stormreach lore... though as I recall it's a big giant that is burned to celebrate the liberation of the elves in Xen'drik from slavery (or something like that).

Meh... it's never hot or dusty enough.

Complaining about it will be better next year.

Edited to add some left field relevance between DnD and BM here is an image from my BM installation last year that contains a turquise colored book near center frame that many of us remember :P

If I were to vote for some other in-game event to mirror RL events... I'd want in-game Mardi Gras so I could throw beads at the elf-chicks and entice them to unfasten their chain-shirts.

    Stupid Teen rating.

Something I never understood about Mardi Gras, it literally translates to "Fat Tuesday" what does that have to do with beads and toplessness?

Fat Tuesday is the day before Ash wednesday which is a day of fasting and the start of lent which is period of abstinence and purification leading up to Easter.

Basically it's about getting your party on before you have to be a good boy for a month.

Like an actual giant? Like...a big, smelly, living, breathing giant?

My ranger likes the sound of that...

I think our final dimensions were around 17' tall 21' long 14' wide. Here is an image of the entire installation (use the globe for visual reference.)

Intent was a "nest" comprised of childhood memories/reflections/toys to promote conversations about personal growth and the evolution of an individual into an artist.

I am one of the few who sort of enjoyed the pre-mature burn of the man in '07. It punctuated the lunar eclipse perfectly.
