I have a barbarian 7/rogue 1. Tonight, I decided to add ranger 1. OK.
I get to the feats. I added one feat--but it won't let me go forward.
Now I do have an unspent action point. Is that the problem?

level 1 ranger needs a favored enemy selected, so make sure you do so. It may be collapsed into "favored enemy" with a "+" on the left side, that will expand the list.

You have to choose both feats to proceed not just one.
You have to select a favoured enemy for the 1st lvl ranger as well as choose a feat for becoming a lvl 9 character
EDIT: For clarification, the feat with yellow border is the class feat. If you run through the feat list you will see bright yellow names under favoured enemy...the bright yellow name goes into the bright yellow border feat slot.
