Default Yeah epic dq2 drops regular raid loot

According to the lammania release notes the above is now true. Oh this is a big change. Now I can convince guildies and friends to regularly run the demon queen epic raid because many of them run this raid on elite for the regular raid loot. There is also the nice change of an increase in both Von6 and dq2 epic of better drop rates. Just to clarify is this increase in loot just the two epic raids or is this all the epic quests?

    Read the note carefully:
Zawabi's Revenge now also has a chance to drop any (normal) item that normally drops in the desert or non-epic Zawabi's Revenge raid.

So it's not just raidloot.. But also other cool things like Bloodstones. Or junk like Coronations shields.

Also finally confirmed that DQ2 Epic does indeed drop +3 BTA Tomes (after some 30-40 runs without seeing one):

Definetely a raid worth running often after update 3.

Hopefully VoN6 has a nice droprate too so the grind to get the epics is a bit less. Would love to see +4 tomes in there as well.

This is really necessary for the vons; as someone who didn't play when module 1 was the endgame, my characters have a grand total of 3 dragon items:

    2x kundarak delving boots
1x ring of the silver concord

If they don't put raidloot in epic velah, I will be running the entire series for effects for one item only, because I have no intention of grinding the regular raid for loot. I've only got a grand total of ~25 dragon completions across all my characters, and most of the raid loot I've seen in this quest has been left in the chest or immediately vendored.

Even moreso than the desert, which always got run heavily by torc-needers, there's simply been no reason outside the boots to visit the dragon in literally years, and any player who's started in that time is highly unlikely to have any collection of its raidloot the way they do with other raids.

Eh your not at that much of disadvantage. I did dragon allot during it's prime with the 2 guarenteed drops, and had tons of raidloot.

But due to limited bankspace over the years, i've since deleted everything but the good stuff: Boots and Sword of Shadow. Actually the 1st sword of shadows I got I used so heavily i pretty much broke it anyways.
So I have almost the same amount as you i think.. 2x boots, 1 new non-damaged sword.. Maybe 2 swords don't remember I deleted my old heavily damaged one.

What i'd like to see in there:
Epic chest with shards - a new chest, doesn't replace existing ones. So old raidchest and (correctly scaled) lootchest are intact, with higher drop rates.

I'd agree that's mostly true as well, which is all the more reason; in general, there are a lot less people sitting around with belts of the mroranon in their bank vs people who had consort bracers/chaosblades/etc. my only khpoesh users are paladins and I stil have like 5 chaosblades in the bank.

I'm curious. Does your chance for the actual raid loot replace your chance for a chance at an epic shard in the last chest?

If this change goes from example: a chest with 4 epic shards to a chest with 3 raid loots and 1 epic shard

I'm not sure that would be a good change.

And as a sidenote... if pulling a collapsable bow would take the place of a torc... I'm still not sure it'd be worth running over elite.

    Excellent change.

Hopefully the droprate will be something like the following:

Raid item (torc, etc): 25% (Elite feels like 20-25% currently)
Epic Shard: unchanged from current rate (feels like 25%)
Random desert item (bloodstone, etc): 10%

That would get people back into Epic DQ2 in big numbers. Turbine will be happy too, as groups doing that raid always use more mana pots than they loot there (either store-bought ones, or just using up some of the looted ones making other players more likely to buy store ones)
    I don't have a zerging problem.

Read Shade's post (#4) - it looks like they do now.
