New to Server...Need a favor

I recently rolled a toon on Thelanis and need to bring some funds over from Argonessen. Is there anyone willing to trade me plat server to server? I have been playing for several years and thought it would be interesting to start from scratch......It's not. Hate being broke!

I also did a start over on Thelanis a while ago, so I'm sorry I can't help you. If you were on Sarlona, I could but not on Thelanis.

You won't be broke for long though

Define long? BTW, rolled a cleric, thought that would be the quickest way to 1750 favor. I don't beg as a cleric so would rather have plat for scrolls, potions and wands instead of being a half a$$ cleric.

I put this post up a couple of days ago never thinking that it would be difficult to find someone to help me out. I know that I am not well known to the message boards (around 100 posts in almost 4 years and no rep points) but thought that somebody would lend a hand.

I guess there is nobody in a similiar situation as me or has toons on both servers. But there is good news to report. I was relaying my situation to somebody in a pug and he offered to give me plat. I told him that I would never beg for cash but would take it on loan until I could find a way to repay him. He lent me 50k plat. I can make this in a bad night on Agronessen but when you have nothing 50k plat is fantastic. I can buy some decent striders, a Superior Devotion item and some other minor stuff to make my gameplay better and more fun.

The guys name is begins with Pug, think Pugware, and he is with a guild called Legions. I don't know anything about the guild but I found the guy nice and if his guild is like him then they are a true credit to this server.

I guess if nobody can help me out I will look into transferring a toon over, just so I can repay the guy. Otherwise here's continueing to hope that someone can lend a hand with a money transfer.

If it's cleric gear you need, I have it in boatloads. TR'd my 28 pt from 3 years ago into an evasion build so all the Potency, Spell Pen, shields, armor, etc is basically worthless to me now. Will help with scrolls, wands, etc.

BTW, it would help to put your toon name in there somewhere. I know a lot of people browse the forums while waiting to fill groups and such, makes it easier to find you.

Thanks... Any help for a struggling newbie sorc is much appreciated. I don't need too much. A set of +2 tomes, some holy silver or PG weapons, little stuff like that.

Disclaimer: For anyone besides Caine that reads this, Arnn is not a struggling newbie sorc. No need to send plat. +2 tomes OTOH............

I appreciate those willing to donate stuff to me. I really don't want to come across as begging though. That is why I haven't posted my toon's name. Call it pride, call it stupidity, whatever, but I really don't want to be a beggar.

I definitely didnt take it as begging as I have characters on Khyber and Thelanis so I know what you mean. I had a few people that really helped me out and made life much enjoyable on Khyber while I was getting a character high enough to support myself. Before guildies pitched in it was a BYTCH to get taps or just the simple stuff like a FF item lol. Anywho..I have plenty of taps..etc if you need them. If not..good luck and I hope you enjoy a great server

Been on Thelanis for 2 weeks now and things are going great. Found somebody willing to trade about 40k plat from Agronessen and I've made about 150k plat. I was able repay Pugwipe (he didn't want to take it!) so now I am out of debt (wish rl was the same

).

My cleric is now 12th level and has over 1000 favor so will hopefully be retiring him and rolling some toons i actually enjoy playing soon. My friends list is growing with some great guys that have been helpful in getting me xp and more importantly, a few laughs.

An interesting sidenote. My luck on this server has been good! I've already pulled the spectral gloves (3rd run) and a planar gird (4th run). I never pulled these items on Agronessen.

Thanks to everyone on this server with the help, it has been appreciated. I look forward to getting this guy raid ready for reaver and shroud soon and see how this server rolls with these raids. Pug clericing, I must be insane!

Has PUG clericing been that bad? I never really had much trouble with it. The occasional quest I had to solo with stones instead of healing people, (which makes people angry for some reason), but aside from that, usually things go okay for my groups.

Talking about clericing a pug raid. I raid like the Shroud with a group with low dps can be a nightmare for clerics. I haven't had too much trouble otherwise, though I try to be selective so that helps.

Hmmm, even PUGing raids I haven't seen things go bad. Usually raids go better than groups I found; a group can be ruined by 2 useless players; a raid can be saved with 5 or 6 good ones. Guess I just end up in the right groups.
