    Default Muck's Doom? Muckbane?

I managed to get two Muckbanes running Durk's quest a few times... and then the first time I ever did The Pit it gave me Muck's Doom. Does Muck's Doom also have the "infinite durability against slimes" stat?

I'm getting so many mixed opinions on how much these are worth, and I don't see any of Muck's Doom in the auction house. What'a realistic price that I should sell it for on Ghallanda?

    Thanks in advance.

Yes. Basically, unless it has the Everbright Enchantment, you want to look at the material type. It is shown on the durability bar at the bottom of the item. The slimes do less damage to wooden things, but no additional damage to glass things. These two Muck weapons are made from glass. I don't know about a reasonable price. I've run The Pit a 'normal' number of times as I've leveled up characters, and never seen Muck's Doom drop.

Muck's Doom is a reallly rare drop. Unfortunately, by the time you get it, you can typically find a blunt weapon of everbright, that does the job just right. So it's more an item for collectors than one actively searched for.
My own price suggestion would be 25k pp, hoping that someone really wants it

Ah thanks a ton guys... yeah I'm pretty stoked that I got it for my first time ever doing Pit. It took us about 2 hours since the "veterans" in my party forgot how to do the quest.

    Haha.

Before they introduced everbright that weapon was very sought after and valuable... less so now.

    Still a very nice pull.

Quick question: I've run Durk's quite a few times and now it shows that I've "stripped everything of value" from Muck's chest... will this ever reset or have I already killed Muck's loot? :P

    That's your ransack warning.

Stop looting that treasure chest for 7-10 days to let your ransack timer reset.

More precisely, the chest counter will reset 7 days after the first time you opened it (regardless of how often you keep looting it).

Muck's Dooms are always a nice weapon, regardless of your level.

Glass weapons don't drop as random loot.
Slimes eat through metal and wood, but not stone or glass.
There are no stone one-handed weapons (warhammers should be able to drop as Stone, but don't).
You cannot get both Everbright and Greater Ooze Bane on the same weapon.

"Best" Everbright Drop: +5 (elemental burst) Warhammer of Everbright: (1d8+1d6+5 damag per swing with extra 2d10 on criticals: avg ~13.5 dmg)
Muck's Doom: +2 Ooze Bane club (3d6+4 damage per swing: avg ~14.5 dmg)

The nerfing will continue until morale improves!

Threw it up on the Ghallanda auctions for a 3 day auction with a starting bid of 490k... sitting at 525k after 10 mins.

Well, for vets with 3+ years in who have never even seen it drop - and they have the plat to spend - price is really no object.

I remember them selling for 50k pp before everbright was around. Not surprised at all people put a high value on them.

I have kept the only 2 I ever found and recently passed them from my 20 fighter to my new intimitank that's up to 10th.

I don't think I would ever sell one unless I had 2 on every char.

It's not worth it just to keep it, especially since I've read up and people have been grabbing Everbrights. Muckbanes on the other hand are just so common that they're not worth the 40k gold buyout I'm seeing.

EDIT: Unless of course, you're filthy rich. :3 Which I'm not.

The funny part is if you can afford the buyout you have a character who can farm for muckbane but is just too lazy to do so. That being said, if I see a muchbane for under 5k pp - I'll pick it up and use it for a while on a lowbie and then give it away. Gave one away about a week ago to a new player.

I don't think people understand how Muckbanes and Muck's Doom work...

I was offering to sell my Muckbane for about 3k plat, and then some guy tells me to meet him in the tent and says "10k or no deal", so I say "bye".

He whispers me and tells me "lol Muckbanes are worth nothing, sell Muck's Doom for 3k" - I told him Muck's Dooms were rare and that no one ran The Pit because it's too tedious. It's worth much more than 3k plat, as you only see 1-2 in the AH at any given time, and they run for upwards of a 1mil. (my auction is sitting at about 700k)

    People are so delusional.

He squelched me because I made him sad.

May want to remove the name, as naming people for doing things like that can get you penalty points

What gets me...I've gone through Durk's so many times I've lost count...on 4 different characters...

...and not ONCE has Muck spawned, much less Muckbane.
