Dark Monk power vs Bosses confirmation

I would like some confirmation about the new Dark Monk abilities and if they do or do not work against boss mobs.

its come to my attention that these may work like curses and some boss mobs are immune to curses ...

it this is so with the new dark monk stuff then being a dark monk is pointless as there are larger benifits to being light monk.

This is not a debate over what is better light or dark

its simply asking people who have managed to do these raids on lamma with monks that are dark and if they are noticing there powers work or not especially the 500 pointer.

Please Dev's if you know this one please say something and save us the Trolling ... I mean really if you guys just had someone answer these things before they got trolled and no longer worth replying maybe you would save alot of people from getting demerits.

It was already posted in another thread by a dev, if the boss is immune to curses, then they are immune to the debuffs.

The dark monk still gets a 500 point pierce attack on a 15 second cooldown though. That's something that shouldn't be overlooked.

There are no dark path monks in all of DDO. So no one can test this anyways.

My monk is a sith, but I don't have monks on lama land, and I deleted her for space on lama after transferring her without being able to access her.

according to the description the 500 pointer is not a curse its simply a ki strike so that may be worth the switch for dps addition to a dex monk but if the rumors are true and simply by adding healing amp a monk can heal himself for 10 points per hit and almost 200 on masses its still a pretty big toss up

heal yourself effectivly while supporting really high ac

or

not be able to heal yourself but doing lightning strike esk damage only untyped once every 15 seconds

man that is hard to decide i guess if i was dual weilding lightning II's it would really be sick cause then you are doing 500 every 15 seconds with a potential of another 600+ damage every now and again.

Think i might go dark but let me tell you the other debuffs become completly useless if they cannot be used on a boss ... cause its not gonna help out on purple names then its not worth using.

reason being that most other mobs are dead before you would notice the advantage.

think making them work only on curseable bosses gimped this before it came out

Don't know of a lot of dark Monks on Sarlona, but Chowonthis has been dark since day 1. While monk dps is not great as we all know, he has held his on in most quests and done his part in many raids including tanking harry and sally. But now with some nice DPS added, get out of the way, dark monks with top end AC and 500 point hits, they going to be da new bomb.

Light monks are for those that did not want to do any damage anyway....lol Come to the dark side Luke.

Yep, i planned my monk to be light until lvl 16+, the buffs are nice and all but dark has better dps, now that they are increasing it its a very nice path to take. i believe they are very well balanced, light monks have some amazing finishing moves to help the party.

Havent actually tested the new abilities... but assuming it works on the same targets that touch of despair does then:
