Will not let me go to stormreach

So, I came back to see if any updates would have magically fixed my problem with not being able to leave the newbie island (hey, it could happen hehe) but still, when I click on the dockmaster and say that yes, i'm ready to go the GM says "Downloading content, please wait".

I've tried doing repairs, full scans (all very time consuming) with the help of tech support, but nothing has cleared anything.

I'd love to play this game more, I really do enjoy how it's set up, but I can't get off the darn newbie island lol



Any help would be GREATLY appreciated =)

Pretty much happened to me so I uninstal everything and when I tried to download it again the patchclient.dll apprently is a virus on my AVG whereas the first time I installed it wasn't.

Yeah, I've tried re-installing a few times, but I guess now I can try the 'hardcore' reinstall.

uninstall
delete any and all files associated with it
regclean
defrag


That should get rid of any offending files hehe

well, after a hard uninstall it's acting a bit differently. The TDM is downloading a few different things in chunks, whereas before it was just one big download iirc.

Also, when I'm in the game, it downloads things as well and has a little progress bar which was never there before.

I'm hoping this change will let me go kick some butt in stormreach!

If it doesn't you can also try contacting a GM and requesting a portal to the harbor (I had to do this before), or having someone greater teleport you from within a dungeon.

I won't be able to find out til tomorrow though as the p2p part of the downloading keeps locking up the connection to the server so I'm stuck doing it the sloooooow way hehe.
