Please, make a banner like "Buy it Now" on raids that you are on timer.
There are not many things as frustrating as discovering your only bard/healer/tank is on timer when you are about to enter HoX/VoD.

If you don't you will have a very short and boring life in this game. I don't know a single capped player (although they probably exist in small numbers) who has only 1 character and no plans on more. What makes this game so fun is that a different build plays so differently its almost a different game. Even rolling a sorc and a wiz requires a completely different playstyle.
Amen. I'm a new VIP that is working on her second capped character now =D
I'd like to know how you do that. Putting two characters on timer for a total of eight raids takes the greater part of a day. And it's as simple as:
Me: /g Hey, Reaver/Hound/VoD/Shroud anyone?
*listens to chorus of interest*
*picks one to do first*
Me: /2 *raid name* Anyone? LFM up.
*wait*
*do raid*
*repeat*
And that's just two characters. If I had 5 or 6 I would probably be raiding non stop.
Now this isn't necessarily fun every second of the way, but it is not as if I would be sitting around doing nothing. But if you could do it continuously you could get most of the raid loot you want just by devoting a day to each raid for each character.
Is it an artificial barrier? Absolutely. But ultimately it is necessary for MMOs, as they have to keep you playing month after month.
