Character name - Steele - Who has it?

Hi I am just wondering who has the character name Steele taken on this server.

MyDDO states - This character has not logged in recently;
No detailed character information available.

and is associated with an anonymous player.

Who has the name (if you are still playing) and what would it take to get it? I would like it for a MyDDO project I am working on.

Before the stupid respond, I will require proof via myDDO that you are the one with the character name.

not necessarily - i have had that message on toons I was literally in group with - multiple times

Turbine has never done a name cleansing for this game. So many names that were here WAAAAAAAY back in the old DDO on expired/non-renewwed accounts are still sitting there gathering dust. That also takes into account the old server merge as well effecting names, so there may be up to 3 on all of the old servers as well.I don't think that they have plans to perform one any time soon either, so I may get stuck spelling Steele with an extra letter or 2.

Maybe, maybe not. It means the character probably has not been played since Unlimited and MyDDO came about but a few of mine are like that. I wont log them in until the various reincarnations are up and running.

Hopefully someone who still plays has the name on an old alt he/she no longer plays.

Maybe maybe not. I can't find a way to view my bard on MyDDO even when I am logged with her at the momment. So that might be not the case. Why don't you try sending him an in game mail. If it expires you can see he hasn't logged for a long time .....just an idea.

don't get your hopes up, start thinking up another name while waiting for a response

Also you can try adding him in your friends list. If you only see the name, and nothing else (no class, lvl) it is most likely someone who havn't logged in a long while, but the mail might be the best option.

Tried mail a month ago and it bounced back.

Havent tried the friends list thing. Will give it a shot.

It is not terribly important but it would be nice to get the name to match my forum name on at least one server. The MyDDO project I am thinking of will just have a different link so no real problem, would have just been nice.

I had this happen to me. Before Favored Souls went live I created a build on the forums and called it Cleansoul, planning to create it when the mod went live. Someone took the name on Khyber... and every other server, and I have never seen them log in.
