Ahhh Wicked, we still have him in guild. Will he come back? I believe he was one of the first on our server (Risia at the time) to pull a vorpal. I remember all the guildies standing in line to take it for a test spin in different quests.

And VON 6? How about that first time running VON 3 with an 8-10 party not having a clue as to what was going on?

When your char level was added to trip dc (and you could trip bosses)

When 4th swing doubled your crit range

When you could smite the end boss of von 3 (the 4th swing double crit range got me quite a few kills with a mace of smiting)

When an elite spider could wipe a party that would otherwise have a easy time completing the quest

When Moderate Fortification items were highly sought after.
When running Co6 was an all-day endeauver.
When Solid Fog + CK lasted 20 minutes extended and wizards could clear a whole dungeon with those two spells.

You could swim in lava without much chance of death.

When you could use angled architecture to jump higher than you should be able to by jumping upside of it.

When you could endlessly complete Threnal East and the end reward didn't ransack.

When we didn't have an Auction House.

People would spend hours in Von 5 trying to understand how to complete.

When fire lore and potency items actually effected firewall scrolls!

When you would see people stuck for hours waiting on a dev because of all of the stuck spots.

Remember when it took two full nights of effort to finish VoN5? I remember this primarily because of my having accidentally hit the autorun in VoN6, charging the Dragon solo on my Paladin, wiping the raid.

Remember when Clerics wouldn't join VoN3 pugs unless there was already a Cleric in the party?

I also remember when the Marut couldn't stand toe-to-toe with Bonzo (on his level 10 Barbarian) for more than one round.

Remember the bonanza for the pizza delivery places during the +1 Loot Weekends, when I finally started looking into having my mail forwarded to The Chamber of Raiyum and people were staying on for 30-hour stints?

Wasn't there also a time when there was no ransack notice or effect on chests?

Remember using Grease on the Titan?

when you had to delete a capped toon when they made an enhancement change that crippled it (looking at you human versatility)

when people would /death and get carted the UW chest in crucible

when teleport had a crazy expensive spell component

when you could herd all the trolls in von 3 up for one 140 spell point fireball

when all of the sorc forum thought that the black dragon armor was the armor for sorcs because spell pen was for wizzys.

when aussie would run the dragon and then send you some incoherent tells about why you should give her your raid loot.

When Bard songs required the bard to not be moving at all.

When Warforges were shunned by all but other warforges, and if you were a warforged Ranger you were in a corner crying other then the few people ... mostly bards who came equiped with Repair and heal wands!

When Invaders came out the general plan was just charge and kill beholders quickly , but by time quest ended if it was possable to lose levels from exp debt you'd be level 5... Lets not mention the LEVER OF DOOM in Reaver.

Ha, Str based 2WF rangers were always viable. People we're just too set on Dex builds to see it
