Is this a good tank/dps build?

well I made a thread about a tank/dps build but then i went dps and some guy said i should do this build (Reformed Thief- 2 Thief/18 Fighter-- http://forums.ddo.com/showpost.php?p...1&postcount=37)

But it was total ****..So i was talking with my guild and I mentiond that I was a tank back when i played wow. And i always loved it but, i didn't know that tanks were used here. But they said in higher end-game stuff and not what im use to seeing(Dps free for all) and they said they were a very needed role. So i did it to help out the guild and for the server..the same reason why i did it for my guild in wow But i always liked how my friend was a tank..

They Introduced the Dwarven Footman build to me for like a good dps that can turtle down and tank.

I like the idea to be able to dps alittle like on trash and then turtle down and tank a big boss. And tank a group while dps drains them down adn then dps and crush some heads when theres fewer..

Im a dedacated tank and i like challenging stuff. Im like level 2 almost level 3 right now. And i have no idea how to tank in DDO. But I would like to learn, so could a experienced tank help me out like rotation..Aggro managment ect.

The footman build is going to be more about dps then tanking. You will be much more effective against trash tanking on a build like that. It is possible to tank against raid bosses, but mostly when there is nobody better suited to do it.

is there any build that I could go after at level 2 with the things ive already put in in enhancments and stats?

Your guild seems to be oversimplifying. Tanks in DDO are NEVER needed, and rarely useful. DPS, however, is needed on every single quest. As a new player without 32 point builds and tons of gear you'd help your guild much more by going DPS.
