Default Request for a solo build for poor player

I would like to have a build that is good at running stuff on solo, as I find that peopel tend to rush/zerg through dungeons rather quickly, removing the fun/frustration of figuring out the dungeon for yourself. Also, when I pug or do things in guild, I find I skip a lot of quests. So would like a build that can solo stuff when he's not doing pug or guild stuff, that way I don't miss out on the a lot of the quests that I seem to be doing.

Only thing I don't have is Favoured Soul class, I have all other class/races and 32 point build, vet status, vip, etc. I don't have a lot of money nor a higher lvl char that can offer much support in gear (highest is lvl 8 PD fighter)

Also, when solo'ing, what dificulty should you be running, normal or hard or just solo?

    Monk

tricky till 3 when you get fist of light and healing ki finisher. once you hit 7 and get wholeness of body you are set.

you always have the "right" elemental effect to use , they are built in.

I'd say for solo go dwarf 16 str , dex, wis with 12 con and dump int and chr.

two weapon fighting chain (first at 1) for bonus take toughness.
    lvl2 takes power attack
get improved crit bludgeoning when available (12 'm pretty sure)
beyond that you have feats to play with.

    skills
    balance , jump , spot.
I personally like tumble but that is my gimpedness

get some holy hand wraps when you can afford them and a set of ghost touches at lvl 6 and your good to rock.
Move along , Nothing to see here

Rogue2/Ranger18 can be a very good one to solo. You can get most traps on normal and maybe hard, kill things, and heal yourself. There are quite a few builds on here for that mix. Rogue6/Ranger12/Fighter2 or Rogue6/Ranger12/Monk2 can work as well.

Find a good build on the forums and follow it until you know what you're doing.
Please split the class forums into REAL subcategories this is a jumbled mess.

Search the forums. There are lots of builds posted with soloing in mind. You need self healing and enough
offence to complete the quest (or stealth if the quest is possible to complete that way).

    17/2/1 Cleric/Monk/Rogue (Halfling)
    18/1/1 Ranger/Monk/Rogue (Human)
    20 Sorc (WF)
    18/2 Wiz/Rogue (WF)

Are all very soloable class splits. All have self healing (through spells and/or wands). I'd strongly suggest
using WF if you are a 'poor player' due to the inherent immunities.
