It depends on your playstyle... if you can UMD Heal scrolls and just save your Cure Serious for emergencies, you'd probably be better off with Maximize.

If you're a cheapskate like me, you probably want to go with Empower Healing to stretch your spell points further.

I aslo can't believe that "Maximize spell" is one again so horribly worded that I'd never guess it helps healing spells. It says right in it's description.... "Damage spells".. Man, they don't make this game very user friendly with the wordings, lol. So, maximize spell is a better alternative to empower healing? Go figure.
Well keep in mind that I get 300 sp from my shroud item and with a +6 wisdom item and a +2 tome my wisdom is 20 so I get more from there.

maximize is +100% for 25 sp more

empower healing is +50% for 10 sp more

Maximize works on all healing spells EXCEPT Heal and Mass Heal, but Empowered Healing does.

Also I'm not suggesting the ranger route, though I do like it, I was just pointing out that a well geared one can do a fair amount of self healing.

Not sure wizardry items are gonna be enough. At like lev.6 my rangers base sp is like 30. I can wear wizardry 3 to add another 30. But, 60 total still isn't alot. When does a ranger start getting decent SP pool?
