    Default 18 Barbarian - 2 Rogue, 2 Monk or 2 Fighter?

I'm assuming that the Barb capstone won't be fixed in update 3, so I figured I might as well go 18/2 (for THF WF 18str and 20 con tho so that means a -1 in Reflex saves) of some class problem is I don't know which class to take the 2 levels of, if anything I can just reincarnate out of the other levels when its fixed. Anyways I like Evasion, the 2 feats and the speed boosts so I just can't seem make up my mind, which of these would be better?

You can't pick monk due to alignment restrictions. So I guess it mostly depends on how much you would need two extra feats. However if you're planning to reincarnate out of these two levels later, then you probably don't want to rely on these feats too much...

on a Warforged THF with dumped dex... I would forget Rogue... I don't see your reflex save getting high enough to make a difference on anything but Normal quests your level or below. You also don't have the skill points to have any rogue skills maxed.

If you absolutely NEED to multiclass then fighter for easier feat progression and Fighter Str I enhancement seems like a better route.

If you are dead set on splashing I would suggest fighter, unless your reflex save is going to be up in the high 20s at a minimum, evasion wont do much for you.

And definately not monk, I would take Paladin well before I would take monk.

I would take lepreachaun before pali or monk.....since those crazy lepreachauns are at least chaotic and can be multiclassed with barbarian.

oh yeah, forgot about that pesky alignment, I was wondering why I they only mentioned rogue or fighter splashes and not monk, thought the monk class wasn't out by the date of the posts lol.. And by these post the capstone doesn't have any problems so pure barb for me, though I kinda wanted a 18barb 2monk, **** DnD stereotyping..

I actually need advice on this. I know that the barb capstone is insanely good, but if I am TRing twice, would going 2 fighter 18 barb and getting 2 extra feats for the past life feat be worth it? The barb past life feat is basically a free toughness (except no enhancements) and provides an additional 30s boost to STR and CON. It would also open up to a more intimitank approach if possible since this feat gives 20hp + 2 Intimidate, and if I TR twice, I can have up to 40 more hp and 4 Intimidate. One thing that I realized was a barb can be a great tank and can even get his AC up when specced out (especially with the new TN Light and Darkness shield)

The capstone being broke is NOT a good reason to multiclass.

Even if no capstone exists, it's very much worth it to stay pure on a barb. Mostlu due to mighty rage. Another 2 str, con, more will save.. Also get +1 dr, more hp, more trapsaves, etc.

The capstone partially works, the +2 str works.. So staying pure is a total of +4 str, pretty massive.
Whats broke is the bonus to glancing blows dmg/sfx proc rate.

A bug they stil haven't even acknoledged. The only known issue about it, is the the icon has the wrong shape lol, so they may fix that evntnually. maybe.

I would stay pure unless you have a specific plan
    in mind.

I went two levels of Fighter for the extra feats,
and heavy armor and tower shield use...

For me The feats also opened up
TWF (Two Weapon fighting) and OTWF (Oversized Two Weapon fighting)

But that was just me, and it filled a specific idea I had
for creating a Halfling Barbarian buzz-saw.

if you don't really want to multiclass, don't.

Multi-classing just for the sake of multi-classing
and without a specific plan is never a good idea.

I would take step back... look at your build.
And ask yourself the hard questions...

"Do I really want to do this?"

if the answer is no, or... "Meh'... I... Guess I could..."

    Then the answer is no.
Think long and hard about it.
Also, think about your long term goals for the character.
If you do, I think you will be happier in the long run.

    Just my 2Cp.

    Hope this helps,

    Bekki.

Are you seriously using heavy armor and tower shield on a barb?
