That explains why I've never seen that on my Exploiter, if I'm within 30 feet I've already got my blades out.
It's not bad dps when you have many shot up on a heavy rogue splash. My 12 rogue/6 ranger/ 2 monk build pulled the bow out versus most raid bosses when it was up and the dps was outstanding.

My silly nitpick of the day: a rolled one on a confirm crit roll doesn't mean you loose the crit (if you'll hit the mob on a one with seeker included). You cannot roll a critical failure on a critical confirm roll.

Good to know. That simplifies calculations.

The icy recipe is very intriguing to a dedicated archer by the way. Those Holy Greater Bane Icy Burst bows using +5 axiomatic arrows and the AA slaying arrow is pretty sweet for Velah.
It is unlikely Turbine will change ranged combat such that full time ranged combat is viable. That is fine in the end. Melee people would complain to much if it was any other way.

It is possible that ranged combat could get fixed if they allowed the monk specific coding for the TOD rings to work on ranged weapons. That being said your Risa imbued bow with two alignments, greater bane, slayer buff, and potentially the eternal fire buff from the red dragon armor will provide a nice damage output.

Currently Tempest is slightly better than AA though. The attack speed buff for the majority of your attacks eclipses the damage from slayer arrows pretty quickly. The slayer arrows only add 25 damage on average. It only takes a few additional swings on tempest to eclipse that.

That being said AA beats out tempest in coolness factor. I will remain an AA till I see deepwood sniper. Knowing that AA provides a vorpal strike for 500 damage we can likely expect a similar type attack for the deepwood snipers.
