Mistakes I made before re-rolling

Well, a guildie of mine accidentally rolled a female warforged and had to re-roll at level 4, but my mistake was entirely different.

I wanted to try out a bard, so with vet status I created a character with two levels of rogue for the evasion and skill points and two of bard. I wanted to head over to Korthos for the easy favor inorder to unlock the fourth backpack slot. On the way over, I stopped by to see dirk. Popped in for my first dungeon with the first character total success, and Muck FTW, and then Muckbane! I was feeling lucky oh so lucky, 2 muckbanes out of three character virgin runs through Dirk's Secret.

I was figuring that I might as well get as much favor as possible and xp as possible, and grind all the way through Korthos. With cure light, and master's touch, and the flaming great axe of doom I was walking through Korthos like it was a walk in the park. I quickly realized my skills were good enough to disable, search, open, and spot to get through everything until Misery's peak on elite unscathed (besides one nightmarish run through stopping the shahugin on elite).

I ran misery's peak last night with a pug, looked at my end rewards, arcane necklace sweet, +1 to charisma bumps it up to an even number, more spell points etc etc. I then went to talk to the mayor to pick up the end award for his quest on elite, and it was then I realized my mistake:

I missed out on the Trapfinding set. I could pick up the googles from the mayor, but I could no longer pick up the neclace. The googles gave me + to spot and search, but if I have the entire set, I get +3 to disable and open as well. **** I cursed myself for not reading everything well enough.

I rued all night, and then moved all the stuff I could/wanted to keep into the bank, deleted and re-rolled. I picked everything back up from the bank, quickly ran through The Korthos quests, collaborator, necro, sacrifices, and the manufactory one all on hard and I think I healed myself for a total of four or five times. I ran through misery's on normal and went for my end award. I picked up the trapfinding set, and I was quite pleased with myself, until I my gut dropped. I forgot to unlock, and then move to the bank: muckbane, my tiara of shield, +4 thief tools, and cure mod wand.

So, help me feel better my admitting some of your mistakes before re-rolling a character.

I rerolled a WF wiz-thief to make some stat fixes, (this was before reincarnation) got to level 7 and realized I was the wrong shade of green.

I've not rerolled a character yet... which isn't to say I've not made some mistakes with them. I just get attached to my characters. I did however swap a feat on my cleric, and just yesterday reset all his enhancements... He'll be sticking around for the long haul otherwise, though.

I'm not sure I could bring myself to reroll because I missed a piece of starter eq...

You rerolled at level 4 because of a Set bonus that can easily replaced by level 3 items?

If it makes you feel better, I have a Rogue that never took UMD as a skill as I leveled-up. To try and fix this, I took 1 level of Wizard (he's Warforged) so I could use wands/scrolls of repair. All it did was water-down my abilities and DPS for some weak healing.
I'll be looking to reincarnate soon...

Still laughing about all the points I wasted on my wizzy with intimidate until I realized how to use it properly...I always thought that intimidate would make them shy away from you....

Oh I can beat that one, I hit level 14 with my Warforge Wizard, "JohnnyUtah"... yes yes from point break and then realized that he was a she! I made her female!

I had a guildy forgot to transfer all of his platinum off a character. Lost over 1mill plat.

I got a monk up to 6th level before I realized I'd made him lawful neutral and couldn't use the Pure Good items I'd just looted.
