Default Best group combination for 3 players

What'd be the best group combination for 3 players? We're gonna start this game again with couple of my friends and we want to get a combo which works.

Cleric or healer type, DPS (fighter, ranger or barb) and a high UMD (back up plan for the cleric) rogue/ wizard.

Alteritivally, All WF: Wizard, DPS and Rogue/Ranger.

Healer type? Can wizards heal then?

If your party is all warforged then yes a wizard or sorceror can heal you.

If you and your party are free to play and can only get the races unlocked for you id go traditional

Fighter- for tank unless you have a preference or ranger is a nice back up since they can melee and heal themselves (via wands early on then take a healing spell or two)

A caster type preferably a healer so probably someone should be the party cleric if you can unlock favored soul and rather play a more melee oriented healer that would be good but a battle cleric build can be done to and be viable for your party.

As Drwhofan said a umd type would be essential to and the cool thing is if you plan the build right you can splash rogue onto a caster or even a melee type (I love my ranger rogues) warning though if your going to do this you need to take rogue at first level then your main class and if the melee class you take does not get evasion (rangers do get this) you will want to consider two levels of rogue.

Trapsmithing with gear and focus can be done by splash characters so that wont even be an issue. And if you take those three types you should be able to trio most of the content from low to mid level no problem.

I'm playing with 2 other friends, and we are monk, wizard and cleric and it works very well. The monk's just a bit squishier than a fighter or barb would be, but nothing some good buffs can't fix.
And the synergies are nice (aligning the heavens is great for buffing).
Probably not the best group, but it works and everybody is having fun.

Well, that's always the main thing that every members is having fun while playing. I think we're going something like tank (barbarian, paladin or fighter), healer (cleric or paladin) and DPS/support (Bard).

EDIT: Any opinions about this combination?

    Default Bad News, Good News

Bad News: There isn't a BEST.

Good News: Pretty much any trio can work well with a healer hireling.

So, play what you like, and it'll be fine. If you don't know what you like, try some alternatives out.

There's no perfect party, but you can't go wrong with the classic warrior / thief / mage trio. Don't forget you can round out any party with NPC hirelings. However, there are no rogue hirelings; if you want a rogue in the party, a human needs to play it. You may need to draw straws. :-)

Warforged get only half-healing from cure spells; instead, you use Repair spells on them, which is an arcane spell. WF are cool and an all-WF party means you don't need to worry about having a mix of Cure & Repair spells.
