Default No new arcane negative energy spells?

Ok, so the Pale master is giving this super awesome bonus to negative energy damage, but I'm not seeing any new arcane negative energy spells... That leaves them with.... chill touch at level 1.... and I think horrid wilting at 8. thats it. Two spells to benefit from this new enhancement.

Now am I to assume that this means the touch attack also granted to this class counts as a "spell" and is enhanced by both the Pre and +neg damage items? Or are we seriously left with only two spells to use this with?

Was kinda hoping for that arcane necro staple "Vampiric Touch"

the touch attack is considered too

otherwise it would be totally stupid

and if metamagics work on it too (that i dunno) then it can be some **** nice damage for free

The at-will beam isn't so bad, when you add up all the bonuses.
+45% from having Pale Master III
+60% from having the pale master set equipped and Pale Master III.

    =20d6x2.05?
Pretty solid for an at-will ability.

Edited to include horrid wilting, which I believe is supposed to be negative energy but never tested it in-game.

Anyway, if the at will attack is boosted then thats quite a bit better. Still want my vampiric touch though :P

Horrid Wilting would be untype at DDO. The in game descirpion doesn't imply that it's negative energy, nor deathward could stop it.

Adding the Lord of Uttercold feat would allow cold spells to deal half negative energy damage and half cold damage.

    Adding to my original statement...
It appears that this can also be empowered/maximized, if you have those feats toggled on when you use this ability.
Some testers are reporting as high as 380 damage from an at-will no cost ability with a 6 second cooldown. Not shabby at all.

Once upon a time Horrid Wilting was typed as negative energy (module 3.2, Deathshade in From Beyond the Grave). However, this was eventually changed to be dehydration damage and thus is no longer blocked by things like Death Ward or amplified by things like Cleric Life Magic.

Yeah I suspected it was untyped or somesuch, but didnt know for sure. So yeah, even worse on the spells bit, but at least there is still the at-will power.

A little diversity would be very nice though.
