Ya, this is a known issue on char transfers between servers.... You need to transfer another char that has more than 400 favor to talk to Nyx to unlock the favor to allow use of the char.

But this seems a bit different. My Cleric with ~2700 favor is fine, but gets nothing to talk to the Nyx's of the world. My FvS from that same server is greyed out. Cannot activate, and when I check and try to create a character, it still says I need to buy. Somehow the flags for higher FAVOR levels are not porting in the character copy routine. (cannot create a VET character either.)

I was really impressed when I saw that you guys added this. I transferred toons yesterday afternoon after logging in to MyDDO.

When I got home, I downloaded Lammania. I logged in to find my level 20 bard had been copied over at level 13.

So much for that.

The night effects are awesome, but the character transfer...not so much.

Yeah the copy is working off some older backup version of the character database, because a bunch of junk I'd sold appeared in my inventory on test. Interestingly I can also see a deleted level 3 character who got rerolled when vet start hit to same class/name/race AFTER transferring the reroll to test. So I see level 3 (deleted) me on live, transferrable to test which holds level 7 (currently existing) me.

I'd go and test that out more so I could bug it with some useful details, but with only 5 transfers and no obvious indications of when they reset, etc, I'll pass. The limitations on the copy tool are pretty fail.

Just getting started on this today - curious how it's going to turn out as one of my main chars is misnamed in My.DDO listing.


...Level 16 (15F/1C) Human actual name Taxx - misnamed as Chukky, a level 5ish Dwarven Cleric.
I prolly shouldn't leave my chars alone in the dark so often.

Hmm.. It appears that I lost all of my characters, extra slots, classes/races, etc. that I purchased on Lamannia... I went to log in to make room to copy a character over and I have nothing at all on the Lamannia server now.

Did things get wiped, or am I just unlucky?

Not that it's a big deal I guess.. It is a test server after all... But I don't have any TP on the test server to buy back everything that I lost... Trying to copy over my FVS to Lamannia will be hard if I don't have any of the extras that I had already purchased/unlocked there...

Yup, all chars are wiped from Llama. Plus T mentioned elsewhere that our purchases/unlocks are gone there, too.

I have to admit I was skeptical about this. I copied only two characters, my wizard and my monk, as I saw them benefiting most from the changes coming in Update 3 and wanted to test things out (Pale Master and Monk changes).

Worked like a charm. Sohryu and Tabris are exactly as they were last night when I logged off of Ghallanda. I was surprised at how fast it was, clicked "copy", went afk for a few minutes, came back, refreshed the page, and it was done.

This is simply jaw-dropping awesome. One of the things that turned me off the most about Lamannia before now was having year-old copies of my toons, with mediocre gear and all the noobish mistakes that I'd made on them still intact. Now having my fully twinked, capped out versions available on the test server has given me the incentive to actually go out and play around over there.

Hmm...the characters you copied, had you not logged into them for a while? Perhaps it was some issue with myDDO not updating them because you hadn't logged onto them recently?

They're capped...but I moved them to Thelanis to cap them. I think they were copied to Lammania pre transfer. By paying the fee to move them, you'd figure I get the tangential benefits as well.

Ahh, the server move might have had something to do with it then. That sucks

This worked flawlessly for me with a 16th Bard and a 12th Ranger.

I would love to try this.. one problem.. the character I want to copy does not show up in My DDO. Soulmonkey comes up twice under the search option and both do not load.

try loging in to the charactor and then try the copy i had a couple of them that didn't seem to have any info. as i had not loged in to them in a long time
