I need some clarification on the term “once”.

By 'Once' are we to believe that the copied character can only ever be copied once in its lifetime, or does it mean 'Once' per preview session?

I had to log out and in twice before it took. Other than that it seemed to work fine.

I have an old version of a character on Lama and want to update it to the live version.

Can I just copy the live version over the top of the old Lama version (or do i have to delete him from Lama first, then use copy)?

I also don't have any free slots on Lama. Will the live copy need a new slot or over-write the old Lama version?

EDIT: Why are some of my characters listed as 'character data unavailable'? (is it becasue I have not logged in on them since DDO:EU?)

Navigating to the character copy page gives a 404 (typing in random gibberish takes you to an error page not 404).

Closing any my.DDO pages, logging out and back in twice fixed the problem.

Just a warning that the current character copy seems wipe out some of the player's lamannia character but the newly copy one. I have it happens and same goes another person I've asked on Lamannia.

We also lost the ability to access shared bank.

Ok we got a few quibbles.

I copied over a favor toon. Has around 2700 favor. however it still wants me to BUY Favored Soul. I had also copied over a Favored Soul which is greyed out at the moment.

The NPC does not engage in the dialog for opening Favored Soul (unless it has moved).

Also note that the Build of Lamannia DOES NOT have the Dreaming Dark update in it, but it does have the IQ.

Lama characters were all wiped. You need to successfully use the Charactercopy function in Myddo to get someone over there to work with.

I know now...

I actually got to the charactercopy page once, but did not copy any characters.
I did not read that the old ones had been deleted and was worried any I copied might have issues (exceeding the slot limit or in overwritting current Lama versions I thought were still there).

Now I can't get back to the charactercopy page. Given the short timeout I am experiencing it appears to be an authentication error.

I understand that items in the shared bank from live would not copy over, but do we not get a shared bank to use on Llamania? Even VIP's who don't have to pay points for it?

Yup, once you copy
any points you had - gone (Had on Lamma, You seem to bring live points)

Copied a Drow character over with 568 favor and it's telling me I need to buy drow. I'm not sure that favor is copying over.

Ya, this is a known issue on char transfers between servers.... You need to transfer another char that has more than 400 favor to talk to Nyx to unlock the favor to allow use of the char.

still unable to get the character copy page to load getting the 404 error.
tried relogging several times , and even typed in the url several times. still no luck


was finally able to copy over. had to update the Lamannia client then it worked.
