I got the characters to copy, but then started up Lamannia and found that "I don't have access to drow" and would have to buy my characters I play in game?!?!?!?!?!??!?!? It wasnt like this before...............

hey t, i think something is wrong with the character copy......after swapping them over they all suck and move both slowly and awkwardly through sormreach. they also jump funny, cant hit a fleeing kobold and half of their gear is **** now. just sayin

the copy went perfect for me.
got a updated (yesterdays unsold junk loot still in bankspace) copy of my lvl20 bard.
without any adventure packs i could not do any useful testing

Interestingly enough, when I transferred back over my FvS, which I used my points copied over to Lamania ages ago to get cleared last time, was free and clear this time without having to get my 2500 favor. I still had to transfer over another toon with at least 400 favor to unlock the drow portion, but not the FvS portion. Just thought it was worth mentioning.

All my toons have at least 2 levels of monk so I'll have to roll a level 1 to play.

Everytime I copy a character to the server, the client fails out when I start the game. There seems to be no problem making new characters. Conversely, my vet status (ability to make a lvl 4 character) doesn't seem to be working ether. Any suggestions?

I'd be happy with the ability to make vet characters, and/or some way to advance my character so I could try out the new feats and features.

I successfully copied 3 characters. I then tried to L.Rncnate one of them but it is telling me that it cannot allow me to finish lvl 1.

I have access to the classes on the build so the only thing I can think of is that it is a 32 pt build. Anyone have any clue how to fix this?

I think that may be the problem, and that also explains not being able to copy vet status characters as well.

just want to know why most copies work but two times now when i tried copying my main with all the favor i've earned that his copy fails? is there some glitch that we are unaware of? can i get a dev to help me with this?

Are you saying no one on Lamannia has a 32pt build, or are you saying that you just cant reincarnate one?

Cannot get to the copy page. I am on MyDDO home page, manually type in the url, and always get the 404 error. Been like 14-15 times now. What can I do? Thx.

Yesterday I set two of my characters to copy over, my wizard and my rogue. The wizard copied over just fine.

When I logged in with my rogue (character name Derring) on Lamannia today, however, he had next to no inventory. All of his equipped items were missing, and the only things in his inventory were a handful of items like collectible bags, traveler tokens and a couple other non-equippables. There was only one item in his character bank, also a non-equippable item.

My dilemma is that we can only copy each character once*, and in-game support informed me they can't help with transfer issues. So the testing I was going to do isn't happening.

Can something be done to fix this?




* The once-per-character limit seems a bit harsh. To an extent, I can see not wanting people to essentially duplicate items via multiple transfers. However, I can also see where it would facilitate broader testing by allowing multiple transfers—especially with reincarnations, respeccing feats, etc.—and would allow players like myself to get past technical hiccups with transfers without involving developers or GMs.

Love how easy it was to copy over my characters. Copied over 3 with no problem.

I'm starting to like myddo, can you delete characters and recopy them over at a later date? Or once they are there they are permanent?

Good question. I'm not sure. I don't have any reincarnates. But, all of my current characters are 32 pt builds, and vet characters. I have yet to successfully copy any of them and run the client. I can start NEW characters on Lamannia, no problem

Also a good point. I'm in the same boat. I copied two of my original characters over, only to have them crash the client. I subsequently deleted them. But now can't recopy them if the problem DID get fixed.

Conversely, I can't make any 4th level characters (since they won't copy over), so I'd be starting over at 1st level. Which means I can't really try any of the new feats. I could of course level on Lamannia in hopes of earning the new feats that way, but whats the point. I mights as well wait untill they hit live, unless the issue gets resolved, and/or some method is in place to advance/level characters on the server.

You need to copy one that has enough favor to unlock vet and then talk to Nyx. After you talk to Nyx it will unlock what you need on Lamannia.
