Of course the followup question then is this: is staying on my path going to make me viable/successful at end game?

    Thanks again...
More likely to gimp your build by staying on the path.

Probably won't be very effective @ endgame following a chosen path...

The end fight is rough without a plan. My favorite approach on all difficulties is again bladebarrier soloing, however on Elite you'll need someone other than the BB cleric/FvS helping out with healing (a rogue or bard can scrollheal it as long as only the BB-er has the aggro, this is most important if the BB-er gets Greater Commanded). Other party members focus on killing the casters first, let the devils chase the BB kiter through a circle of three or four BBs.

The BB kiter should be buffed with all of Jump, Tumble, Displacement, Haste, Stoneskin, Spell Resistance, Stalwart Pact, Greater Heroism, Protection from Energy and (if of appropriate level) selfcast Death Pact. Tumble is so you can move extremely quickly after getting up from a Greater Command.

No cleric groups should pull the bosses one by one and melee them down. You may fail to completely separate them and accidentally pull two or three at a time, if you do, it'll be rough healing-wise even with 100% UMD on Heal scrolls.
    I don't have a zerging problem.

    I'm zerging. That's YOUR problem.

it could simply be a lack of dps causing healing woes

if more than 1 melee in your group is running around with holy weapons in that dungeon then its fail from the start

I like Divine Healing for bypassing LoS. It is an enhancement based upon the number of Turn Undeads the character has and can be activated regardless of what's inbetween the caster and the recipient. The enhancement is a Heal Over Time (HOT) that procs a heal every 2 seconds for a duration of 30 seconds; DH1@1d3, DH2@2d3, DH3@3d3. So, DH3 gives 3d3 (average 6pts per) to a party member every 2 seconds for a total duration of 30 seconds which ammounts to 15x3d3 (90hp average) and it cannot be dispelled that I know of. This is really good to use in a quest like The Cruicible where people are split up and in different sections of the maze, just hit them with one of these. My Cleric has 18turns for this and Divine Cleansing 3.

Another thing you can do is recomend your party members to eat some Tasty Ham before fighting Air Ele's. If they don't have any handy they could always buy it off the DDO Store.

Additionally, Blade Barrier will wither down the Air Ele's. If there's an Arcane Caster in the party have them drop a Wall of Fire.
