Sirroco Price Check

I pulled one and would like to sell it. I was informed it was at least 300k plat by a guildie.

I can see 2 on the AH right now for 800k-1000k plat - but we all know what the AH prices are like!

Should I put it on the AH for 3 days with a more sensible 300k plat starting bid, and no buy out, or reckon I can find someone in these forums to buy it from me?

300k plat for me right now would be great, but I don't want to do myself out of potentially more money, if it is actually worth more. If you think it is worth less, don't be afraid to dash my hopes. lol

Yep, that is what my guildie told me too, and I read on the forums also, but I can't see anyone mentioning how much they'd be willing to pay for one, or how much they managed to sell it for. I think I'll stick it on the AH this morning and see if anyone bids on it.

I'd be surprised if you get 300k PP. I've been selling off the named Desert items for about a quarter of that (not including the ones that are heavily chased after like Spectral Gloves, Bloodstone and, since its Epic version was seen, Xuum).

That said, however, for people that have an Epic Shard of Sirocco already, 300k PP is pocket change, so you might get it.

That's the old epic version, it has been significantly upgraded. It now has vertigo 10, force burst, and 2d8 base damage.

Is it a half decent end game item now?

I put it on the AH for 24hours but got no bidders, I'm going to try again a little lower this time.

I'm definitely putting it on for a lot less than the other 2 currently up there on the AH if anyone out there is interested

I guess, half sounds about right. Longswords aren't generally the preferred weapons for tactician builds who still use trip at end game - they are more often using dwarven axes or two handed weapons.

Still, an elven fighter or fvs would probably love it for an offhand weapon.

That blade is an old weapon; and should sell for around 5K plat!
Unless it's the EPIC Model!

You newer people, and the vets exploiting newer people, really need a reality check on this AH stuff!
This is the 3rd mod & influx of new players Ive seen. We go through this every time!
Chat channels get convoluted, AH gets STUPID! Its just a matter of time before you jerks realize, that, Turbine set up our in-game economy, and your continued gauging of AH prices are diametrically opposed to the stability of our econmy!

There are acceptable limitations to the AH prices, and when you all come back down off that sugar buzz you got from the soda & pop rocks & m&ms' while scouring the AH for bargains; and posting your own ridiculous prices for tier 3 loot! Rock on morons!

just a quick fyi goods are worth what people are willing to pay for them. without any significant gold sinks in the endgame of ddo more and more currency is constantly being added to to the game and very little of it is ever removed.

The reason, if you didn't read up above, it's expensive...is because people are hoping to sell it to those that have the Epic upgrades for it. Expect the same to happen to all the unbound named items in Gianthold when that goes epic, or ANY of the packs that they make Epic. You're no longer paying for the base model, you're paying for an epic item "component".

you don't understand what i am saying, which is that if people are unwilling to pay for the items at the posted prices they will come down. clearly people are willing to pay so clearly the prices are correct.
